Why should anyone outside the family have a say in this?

Her family from birth wants her survival, her husband along with his girlfriend for 10 years and new children along with lawyers he's paying, want her terminated. So the family is not getting a say in the matter.

i'm for saving her at present. Let them try what ever therapy they believe will improve her conditon. If at that time, there is no improvement, then let someone else pull the plug, I can't. (Can the plug puller be tried for homocide etc?)

Your heartless answer explains why Nazism was able to rise in Germany.

I agree and while I don't agree with the way they intend to have her die I must admit that if I was her and I had told my wife to let me die if I ever became a vegtable as she most obviously is. That I wouldn't want anybody to interfere and that means the Gov. or Pres or even her parents. I know I wouldn't want to live like that.
To: fml
Understood, but I don't know what she wants.
I would not want to be kept alive under certain circumstances.

Why should anyone outside the family have a say in this? Because her family is asking Jeb Bush for his help to save their daughters life.
To: Warren
Polywog, which family? The parents are family. The husband is with the mother of his child and expecting another. As far as I am concerned, he has abandoned her, without prejudice. However, as with the "discrimination" cases, isn't he
"de facto divorced"!
Thus, the parents are the family of consequence. Since the matter went before the judicial system that I pay for and no doubt public assisted funds for treatment, then I or WE have a right to say something. Also, we have a right to our opinions, worthless as they may be.

I feel the same way and my husband and family know this. The problem is what she wants isn't made clear. I'm pretty positive she does not want an unfaithful and callouse husband calling the shots.
