I never claimed to be an expert on how a speaker is chosen, so what?. Calling me uneducated(high school graduate , two years of college) was a mistaken assumption on your part. As to educating me , no you’ve only made me realize how quickly I was able to get free parking in your head and what a pompous ass you are.
I’m not sure what the exact rule is. I believe it has to do with having been in the house previously or in when voted on. Unless a senator was in the house previously or not may matter. But no senator would step down to do it. The reps are there for 2 years and the senators run every 6. Nasty may lose bigly but Chuckie can’t save her. The Dems are on the highway to Hell and there’s no stops. This is a breaking point for them and may be the crossroads for a civil conflict for each side and I believe we all have made our choice.
Yeah. I wasn’t so sure on if a sitting Senator could be made Speaker. Typical the majority party in the House chooses the Speaker. From what I’ve found out there are no real rules or regulations in place for choosing one, that is to say it’s not an elected position but given the fact that Speaker of The House is third in line of succession seems to be a pretty, I dunno, freewheeling kind of way to go about it.

Fact...you WERE "uneducated" ( whether never having been taught about this matter,in ANY school/class you were even in or ignoring what you were being taught ) on this point, until, I educated you, about it, a bit earlier.

They are voted on by house membership. So it depends who has the majority of members traditionally. There was talk of bringing Gingrich back even though not a current member. I think it would have caused a hugh fight. Not with the Dems but inside the GOP. Given the Speaker is # 3 in the line of progression, it’s very important. I think it’s interesting to consider how many leftist dumbazzes believe if Trump is impeached Hillary takes over. Not happening. They don’t know it. That might be the straw.
