I’ll see your Goldman Sachs (by the way, has anybody ever said exactly what is wrong with Goldman Sachs) and raise you twenty bankruptcies and thirty takeovers.
Goldman is one of the sleaziest crony capitalist companies on the planet and your boy TPA Teddy is knee deep in it. He’s taken $100,000 in campaign donations from Goldman and cast U. S. Senate votes in support of their lobbyist agenda. Unfortunately, when the choose is Goldman or Main Street, Cruz stand with Goldman.
Blaming the guy who has to play the game to influence politicians is wrongly placed in my opinion.
Lifelong politicians that no longer read bills before they pass them and get rich in office are the problem.
At least Trump provides an actual product/service.
So, yes I'd rather have Trump. I'd also be okay with Cruz and would even prefer YOU as president over what we've been saddled with for decades.
Seen that before somewhere?
Heard that joke before...
See the area where I disagree is that Trump didn’t have to play the game. He didn’t have to contribute to Harry Reid or Natzi Pelosi. He didn’t have to contribute extensively to the Clintons graft foundation. He supported all the candidates and causes we have been fighting against.
Perhaps. But would you consider the money given more of a business decision or ideologically driven?
We know that by their nature businesses are self serving to perpetuate themselves. This is why we find businesses get behind whoever is in power.
Trump is now in the political field and obviously he has to back up what he's selling.
You are absolutely correct not to trust Trump.
Oh, I think it was a bit of both. He has said many times that he "identified as a Democrat", "was very liberal" on sone issues and bragged about "getting things" from political contributions +which I see as corruption, bribery, and graft). There are many things attached to his 'brand' that have turned up very shady, but more so is his own words that raise many red flags:
On his publicity seeking: âThe show is âTrump,â and it is sold-out performances everywhere,â he told Playboy.
On his feelings of superiority: âFor the most part, you canât respect people because most people arenât worthy of respect,â he told Mr. DâAntonio.
Perhaps his most revealing statement applies to the time-honored virtue of self-reflection. Mr. Trump is not in favor of it.
âWhen you start studying yourself too deeply, you start seeing things that maybe you donât want to see,â Mr. Trump once told Time. âAnd if thereâs a rhyme and reason,â he continued, âpeople can figure you out, and once they can figure you out, youâre in big trouble.â
The quotes are taken from a NY Times article called:
Donald Trump Likens His Schooling to Military Service in Book

Could be.
Again, I liken it to all the businesses that change horses and support the majority party. There's no loyalty other than appeasing the Washington Overlords.
Can the system ever be broken?
Honestly, I think it can be turned around but I don't see it being done by those who are using it to their advantage. Trump is neck deep in it, as are many of the Uniparty establishment candidates and many (not all) those who are in DC. Go back to the first debate, watch and listen to the number of candidates groveling and clamoring for their "share" when the topic was brought up.
What freaked me out about the debates was how quickly some of the Repubs would shoot a Russian plane out of the sky. WHAAAAAAT????
I’d rather have a man of principle than one who is all things to all people.
LOL
Not a good description of Trump as libs don't like him.
The lifetime lawyer/politician route hasn't served us well lately.
I choose another option.
All things to all people this one is.
LOLOLOLOL Then why is he such good friends with guys like Sharpton?????
Trump knows how to be civil and be friendly with people he may or may not agree with.
This is something Ted Cruz is incapable of doing. One of the magazines listed Cruz as having a personality deficit. Their words...
That’s good because I don’t want anybody in the WH who wants to be civil with racists, shysters and crocks.
So that's why he said Al Sharpton loves him? He donated thousands to Rangel too just to be 'civil'? He supported Harry Reid and others just for civility's sake? Yeah sure.
Denial. It's not just a river in Egypt.
Trump will have to be civil with racists, shysters and crooks. That's all there is in Congress.
No he won’t. According Trump himself he’s just going to knock heads.
