You missed the important parts.
If you read the paper, he was advising Bush to say conservative things to cover non conservative actions.
By the way, he also talked about a massive increase in H1B visas back then too.
But the most alarming part to me was that he said that people coming here legally were doing it to improve their lives and that our response to that should be finding ways to increase the wages of Mexico so they wouldn’t need to come here.
How do you increase the wages in Mexico? By sending them OUR COMPANIES and OUR JOBS.
If you read the paper Cruz wrote advising Bush you will see that these are the very things that Cruz has voted FOR in the senate even though he has excuses for his votes.
He voted for TPA, he voted for the Corker bill, and he has been squishy on both legal and illegal immigration.
He is sounding more and more like Bush to me. A conservative on social issues but a globalist on economic issues.
Go to the link I included and read the paper Cruz wrote.
I read it. The paper was written for George W. Bush. It is a synopsis of Bush’s views - not Cruz’s. It should be obvious to anyone who actually read it. I am now wondering if you did.
I am not so sure he doesn’t share the views considering his votes for TPA and the Corker bill.
The reason they wanted the Iran deal passed (both parties) were economic ones.
I am not trying to be combative. I am just trying to figure things out that make no sense to me. Like those votes and his reasons for them.
