It was a shining, magnificent moment when Ted Cruz called those liars liars on the Senate floor. It was a heroic act and a triumph of truth in a mendacious body of corrupt men and women.

But why is Cruz so naive? It seems unbelievable. He wasn’t born yesterday. He’ s supposed to be such a hotshot litigator. If anyone should be used to people trying to trick them and lie its a lawyer.
If that’s the level of his chess playing I don’t want him in the Presidency. We are supposed to be out-thinking our enemies (and our friends) not taking them at face value and holding out our hands like the occupant of the big house to everyone so they can steal our wallets, destroy our alliances and outmaneuver us at every turn.

I sent $ too. It did my soul good to see Wilson raise $1 million in 24hrs but as a tactic it is worse than ineffectual. The priceless part of Wilson is that he was so clearly shocked at O lying that the words just rose up out of him.
I don’t think that was the case with Ted. I think it was planned. Once you call someone a liar you have shot all your bullets. The tactic betrays weakness because you are admitting you are impotent to get back at them any other way.
