Uhm...yeah.
And you didn't by contrasting "Trump supporter" from "Conservative?"
Hey, why not if you think Marx and Engels hatched a good tax plan.
Maybe I should ask you: Do you think Marx and Engels are a couple of Trump staffers or something?
As much as you are genuinely concerned by Trump's past positions vs. what he's running on.
Why wouldn’t I be concerned?
Ya know, once your comment is effectively mocked to death, it's not a good idea to give it mouth to mouth.
Because Trump is all about the deal. He's not going to double back on what gets him elected.
I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Are you asserting that the graduated income tax was not originated by Marx and Engels?
You took issue with my assertion that Trump’s plan is a graduated income tax, for which I provided his plan, from his 2011 book, along with a link.
But you haven’t provided readers of this thread with anything we can hang our hat on to the contrary.
Do you have some reason to believe that Trump’s plan is othewise, or not?
Well, it's a long time until the deal closes, and he's not elected yet.
You already did it for me.
See, I knew you could find it!
LOL...
Here's a golden oldie for you:
Donald Trump Once Proposed the Biggest Tax Hike Ever
Donald Trump takes a lot of flak for failing to offer specific policy proposals, but there was a time when he offered a very specific tax plan -- one that raised taxes on the wealthy so much it might have made Bernie Sanders blush.
In classic Trump fashion, the plan was big and bold. If enacted, Trump's plan would have been biggest tax hike, in total raw dollars, in history. In a word, it would have been huge.
The year was 1999 and Trump was toying with the idea of running for President as a third party candidate. The idea, which Trump says he no longer supports, was to impose a one-time tax of 14.25 percent on every American worth more than $10 million and raise exactly enough money to pay off the debt...
I'm asserting that insinuating the country's most high profile arch-capitalist is a crypto-Marxist deserves nothing but scorn and derision.
Is he running on that tax plan?
Well, for an “arch-capitalist” he sure has had a whole lot of crazy statist, socialist, leftwing positions over the years.
And he still thinks it’s the government’s job to “take care of everybody.” He said it flat out in his speech in Phoenix. And the context of his remarks was health care. Then he said, “sorry conservatives,” or something like that.
I don't know. There's a grand total of ONE position on his website.
True, but this one seems to be working for him...REALLY well.
I don't think he's gonna fix something that isn't broken.
If he doesn't have principles, and his policies are wrong, his campaign is broken, whether he wins or not.
Now you're just being petulant.
