And Cruz, IMO, is not electable in the general at this point.
Best to slip him in as veep under Trump’s charismatic, crossover strength, and then let Cruz win Trump’s third (or second, whatever Trump chooses) term.

Wouldnt mind Cruz, wont vote for Carson - I dont vote for cultists.
Would you vote for a Trump-Carson ticket?
>>>>>>>>>>
Cultist? What the hell are you talking about? Geez! Are you talking about a brain surgeon being a cultist! What kind of kook are you anyway?
You got me mixed up with ‘reaganaut’. I said nothing about cultists.

“Should Trump win Cruz could help this country most by sitting on the Supreme Court for the next 35 years.”
Never thought of that, but you are absolutely correct!

The polls can and have changed. Between now and the Iowa Caucus in 5 months time there will be lots of changes. The NBC poll for example had Ted Cruz ahead of Carson.
What is constant in all this though is that Ted Cruz has raised more hard money and from far more individual small donors than anyone else. That is strong grass roots support right there, backed by committing their own money. 15 times as many donors have made contributions to Ted Cruz as Jeb Bush for example. Ted Cruz has a lot more grass roots support than Carson.
Will Ben Carson bring the black vote to the GOP? I doubt if anyone can. It will be the usual 90% plus black vote for the Democrats, Carson or no Carson.

If Ted Cruz gets the nomination, he wins the general. Hilary Clinton's numbers keep falling, and no one can bring out the 54 million evangelicals, Tea Peartiers and religious conservatives who did not vote the last time round like Ted Cruz can.
To: SmokingJoe
I’d love to see a source on those numbers.
To: 9YearLurker
There are 90 million evangelicals in the country, about 30 percent of the population, Cruz tells Breitbart News.
In the last election, 54 million evangelicals did not vote. www.breitbart.com/big-government/2015/08/21/exclusive-ted-cruz-praises-fathers-evangelical-outreach

“Trump / Carson two outsiders. Great ticket.”
