Thanks for posting this. The Cruz position is the principled one, keeping FedGov from picking winners and losers.

...I don’t see how we justify subsidies to generate ethanol fuel, except to buy votes in the Iowa caucuses.

Well said.

What more could Ted Cruz have done in his young Senate career to prove he is a leader. OF COURSE the establishment creeps don’t like him, but the people who pay attention and vote view him as a fearless, articulate dynamo for the preservation of Constitutional government. Frankly, I don’t think that Gov. Walker has been all that great in interviews. At least, IMO, he is not of the caliber of Cruz, Sasse, Sessions, Gohmert, Brat and several others.
I love the guy, but I don’t think that he is our strongest candidate. If he wins, I will be gung ho for him, as long as he doesn’t flip again on amnesty. Bob

Uh, Scott Walker has only been governor since 2011

But he served a full term though. And he's won three elections in four years, compared to Cruz's one.

I've been on this board since 1999. I've seen the mistakes conservatives made every election cycle when they fall in love with a particular conservative.

The real, electable conservative gets called a RINO and is mercifully savaged by the Dems/media, GOPe, and conservatives. Meanwhile, that pure pristine conservative is not going to go anywhere beyond the support of conservatives posting on the Internet, either because he's not well-known enough, or the Left has perfectly portrayed him as unelectable.

The beauty of Walker is that he is a unifier. He is the three-legged stool of conservatism. He can fuse the libertarians, the fiscal conservatives, and the social conservatives as one. Also, he has strong support from blue-collar Reagan Democrats.

Support for Ted Cruz is only greasing the skids for Jeb Bush, as the vote will be split in the primaries.

So you are going to encompass Reagan’s entire legacy on one of the three things he personally acknowledged was a mistake of his administration (Sandra Day O’Connor and the lack of response to the Beirut bombings were the others)?

Not sure you should be here. Does Rand Paul have a posting board for you?

Jeb has taken talking out of both sides of his mouth to a whole new level.

Walker is a fine man but he's too susceptible to the GOPe and his waffling on amnesty seems a bit expedient.

No thanks, for me Cruz has the Constitutional fortitude and can out debate anyone the left throws at him because he's a fact machine.

McConnell and Boehner would support Walker in a one-on-one vs. Cruz. Enough for me to back Cruz even if I thought he wasn't the best candidate. But hey, this why we have primaries.

When Scott Walker first ran for Governor of the State of Wisconsin, he promised voters that he would sign a version of Arizona’s SB 1070, which would cause illegal invaders to self-deport themselves back to their own countries.

Thinking that Walker would do this, I voted for him. I believed him when he said this!

Walker said his research into such a law would be the best thing for Wisconsin citizens. In Walker’s own words, he said, "The federal government has failed to secure the border, and states have a right to protect their law-abiding, legal citizens...The 10th Amendment gives states the right to act as Arizona has with the immigration law."

However, Walker lied to me, and he lied to every single conservative in Wisconsin that voted for him in 2007 when he reversed his stance on illegal invaders in Wisconsin.

Instead, Walker decided not to sign any law that would restrict illegal invaders stealing jobs from broke, unemployed, underemployed, and employed Wisconsin citizens, as well as monopolizing scare medical treatment resources, and bringing the obligatory increase in crime to our neighborhoods.

Considering that research showed how unsafe Wisconsin would be with illegal invaders in Wisconsin, just imagine how unsafe America would be if Walker was President!

Knowing all this, a vote for Walker will only fail to protect law-abiding, legal citizens, like you and your family!

Oh yeah, forgot the fact-based link:

Scott Walker now supports AZ immigration law

To clarify, Walker stated his support protecting defenseless Sconnies from illegal invaders in 2010, not 2007.

Well, you have a point about how having too many conservatives in the primaries paves the way for the McCain and Romney types. But, Cruz is one candidate who REALLY NEEDS to be in the primaries and debates. If you want to cull the field a bit, I suggest getting rid of Carson, Perry, Santorum, Fiorina, Rubio, etc., long before Cruz.

Oh, and I also meant to say the republicans REALLY need to get rid of these “open” primaries, so these dems can’t cross over and cause the RINO to win.

You do know that your argument about principled conservative candidates not being electable falls flat on its face because it was RINO candidates, Dole, Bush,McCain, Romney, and soon-to-be Walker that failed to win the presidency, once or twice.

When conservatives put forth a true conservative candidate, such as a Ronald Reagan, they win, and they win twice.

Cruz is made out of the same mold as Reagan, and like Reagan, he angers the Democrats and the progressive, Big Government establishment fools in the Republican Party.

But be it as it may, Walker is fooling you into believing he is a conservative, unless you have an ulterior motive to want him elected that you have not disclosed yet.

Very true. Who knows who will be our candidate. I haven’t guessed correctly in a long time.

Make no mistake - if Walker gets the nod I’m with him.

Can’t say the same if Bush gets it.

Your vampire analogy is the most ridiculous one ever posted here. After all, vampires are fictitious, and Washington politicians are real blood-suckers.

;-)

Just trying to reach out to those who have their own fictitious worlds where destroying Walker now makes sense even without having a clue if Cruz will end up at the top after the Primaries. Also those who think that even if an Obama clone ends up as the Dems final candidate, they need to allow that commie to have the WH to "teach the GOPe a lesson" - that's what I call ridiculous. Especially since there are so many that couldn't vote against Obama, even for his second term, and they are mocking the Democrats as the stupid ones who voted for Obama. That's even more ridiculous.

Ummm, there was nothing to sign, because no legislation of the sort never crossed his desk.

You do realize you're completely missing my point.

Cruz is going to get backstabbed by the GOPe, when the leftist media brings up the fact that his wife is on the board of Goldman Sachs, Cruz's Canadian birthright, or that he just got elected in 2012 and since it's unfair that Republicans said that Obama was "not ready," well, the same standard should apply to Cruz.

So while you and the other internet conservatives are savaging Walker, which splits the socons, libertarians, and Nat'l security conservative votes among the remaining field, headlines will appears in the media: "Top Republicans call on Cruz to withdraw from the race."

And since Walker isn't pristine enough for the base, you're going to stay home in a snit and Jeb will cakewalk to the GOP nomination.

A bill didn't come to his desk because he told the State Houses that he would effectively veto it.

Walker flip-flopped, when he said, "I think that would be a huge distraction for us in the state..There’s our niche and our priorities. I don’t think that falls into one of those priorities, so I would certainly hope that the legislature didn’t spend time focusing on that, instead focused on the economy...I’d push to make sure it wouldn’t come up."

Conservatives know that this kind of defacto amnesty hurts American workers. The Chamber of Amnesty will pick the illegal invaders on the Cheap Labor Express over American-Blacks-Latinos-Whites-Red-White-Blue citizens.

The fact that Walker would even threaten to use the power of his pen to veto an anti-amnesty bill speaks truth to how he governs. We see such despicable actions by Obama himself in the White House.

Proof: Scott Walker's mixed messaging on immigration

Basically, under a Walker presidency, there would be open borders!
