Do you really believe a black and a Hispanic Repub ticket will inoculate it from criticism? Really?
I do remember that Allen West, Herman Cain, etc. never got bashed by the left. Oh, wait....
Cruz / West is the other choice. Can you imagine the new catch phrase? maybe the Pet Shop boys can make a single out of it.
The GOPE being what it is will probably run a Romney/McCain ticket.
He's also, unless I'm mistaken, the only person to demand that we stop taking flights from Africa.
I agree completely with you. Cruz is my man, and he could be plaid, for all I care. I just want the most solid conservative, and he is that, IMO.
""The whole minority angle is just a talking point to shove into the stupid faces of the affirmative action freaks who care about that. If they were both white, it wouldn't change the substiantial power of the ticket. My only concern is Carson's point of view on the second amendment. I was under the impression he was wishy washy on it. But, then again, we have Cruz, and, as long as a person is a man of honor, I am willing to forgive divergences in certain policies. This is in contrast to Romney who was simply a liar, a product of the Mormonic cult, so I could never support someone of such a foul disposition."
Yes, agreed. I'm with you on Carson's Second Amendment weakness. Also, he turned me off recently when he gushed all over Jesse Jackson, calling him a great civil rights leader.
Carson is a wonderful man, but it doesn’t make sense for him to start at the top. I think before you run a guy in the big time he has to show he knows how to run for political office.
Has he won a race before? Dog-catcher? Anything?
Congress enacted The Naturalization Act of 1790 just three years after the drafting of the Constitution, and many of those who voted on it had participated in the Constitutional Convention. The act provided that children of citizens of the United States, that may be born beyond the sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural-born citizens.
Cruz/Carson. Dr. Carson is smart enough and honorable enough and Conservative enough, as far as I know; but I don’t think he has the chops to stand up to the venomous invective that will rain down on the top of the ticket. It will be bad enough for the V.P. slot, a la Sarah Palin and the crap shower she received.
My god....Cruz will be great...
Yes!
Yeah, professional politicians only.
hahahahahahahahaha. Actually I feel just the opposite!!!!!
Oh of course. We can talk about Jeb Bush instead.
Perry? No way
once all of America sees Cruz on the campaign trail, then you will see a big gain in the polls. if they both run, I am pretty sure it will be both of them in the end, some states will choose carson, and other will choose cruz in the primaries.
Cruz was not. Carson definitely was.
Who said anything about professional, career politicians?
If you're too lazy to run for the Senate or the House first, then you have no business running for the top job.
I fought the Herman Cain fanatics here in 2012, and I'll do it again.
Run and get elected to a lower office first, then we'll talk.
We can talk about people who really might be candidates, rather than a doctor who wants to start out as President of the United States.
Or God forbid, a farmer who wants to be president....like Washington. oh no!!!
You are comparing Carson to George Washington and you think that George Washington was just a farmer who wanted to be president, so he ran for office?
Well, it would be better than any of the others who are talking about going for it.
But Carson is a social liberal, anti-second amendment and pro homo. The only good things I have heard from him is that he seems to be a fiscal conservative and rational about healthcare.
I could vote for a Cruz/West ticket.
