The problem lies with the system. No political system with universal suffrage will last. The politicians don't care, because they occupy elite status and exempt themselves from the operation of the laws they impose on the voters. Then the politicians claim the laws are justified because a majority of voters put them into office.
We have been in a electoral monarchy for a good 30 or more years.
This kind of person has no concept of truth. It’s whatever helps the cause. By any means necessary.
I disagree. Nothing changes unless we do. If we reform then DC naturally follows. If we become more corrupt DC follows. Its not Them but Us...when we accept that and act accordingly then youll see positive change. Our system of govt isnt the problem but the rope we’ve used to hang ourselves to now.
Crazy as an outhouse rat.
Working hard to become the next Nancy Pelosi.
I was wondering what percentage of MA residents are employed in university-associated jobs, considering their liberal bias. This is a few years old (2012), but the top ten largest employers in MA at that time were:
1. Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard associated)
2. The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co. LLC
3. The University of Massachusetts
4. Steward Health Care System (Affiliated with Tufts)
5. Harvard University
6. Brigham and Women's Hospital (Harvard associated)
7. UMass Memorial Health Care
8. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
9. Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN)
10. State Street Corp. (NYSE: STT)”
It's human nature, and there are plenty of history lessons to prove it - when a majority of the people figure out they can vote money to themselves out of the public treasury, they do. I don;t finger the system, per se, what I pointed to was the principle that universal suffrage creates political instability. It is impossible to change human nature. You can change your own behavior, and maybe that of a few hundred or few thousand people around you, but that's about it. And even in your circle of influence, you'll find no shortage of do-gooders (with other people's money, of course), loafers, and schemers.
My choice in national elections is between two parties vying for the power to further grow the government. What change should I be making to fix that?
Warren is the type that will still lie to you when you know she’s lying, and she KNOWS you know she’s lying.
Is she a possible VP candidate for Hillary?
Warren won’t play second fiddle to HilLiary. And obama will support her, not HilLiary.
So Hillary may not get nomination?
The Rats’ organization props her up. She has no political skills, no charisma, and can’t think on her feet.
They are both affirmative action figure heros!
Correct. HilLiary is old and people are tired of the Clintons. Not to mention a lot of fellow democrats worry she can’t transcend her own lies and scandals.
I’ll take “both”, for $500...
She is a democrat so she is a sociopath.
Imagine insisting you are an indian when you are not.
Like any other Communist, she’s a pathological liar.
Like any other Communist, she has no conscience.
Like any other Communist, she is pathologically narcissistic.
It follows then that, Like any other Communist, she is a sociopath.
Yeah, true.
Psychopath.
