In other words, he’s telling Sen. Cruz and others “OK kids, we let you play your games and you made a big mess of things, so that’s the last time, we’ll have no more of that”.
They think of themselves as the Grown Ups in the Senate, and the others as a group of rowdy children who now need some discipline. Just like Boner, when he took all the committee chairmanships away from Tea Party Congressmen.
The arrogance grows stronger by the day.

Yeah, Mike Lee posted a note on his Facebook page saying that he and Cruz were not intimidated and that they were going no where. Under the Senate rules, they have REAL power, and just demonstrated it, much to the GOP-e's horror.
Hence, McConnell's belching.
