“I still hold onto the hope that Senator Fred Thompson will one day be president.”
I don’t think he wants it enough. If he did, I think he could’ve been our guy in ‘08. Really... ya gotta wanna.

We haven’t even gotten to the 2010 elections yet. Let’s concentrate on making gains in Congress first.

Fred would make an exceptionally good president. I would love to see him as our nominee.

Ping me after we win back the Congress in ‘10. Cause’ if we don’t, this discussion is moot.
We really do need to stay focused on winning in ‘10. NOTHING, at this point, is more important. Well, that and a long form BC...LOL

I felt letdown by Fred’s effort in the campaign. Not sure who to back now...won’t be Palin. Will wait and see who emerges.

Many of us former Fredheads back Palin.
It's a shame he didn't get more traction, with the media building up Huckafraud to further fracture the base, and no name losers like Hunter and Paul doing the same.

sorry for jumping into this so late.
first of all, FredPAC is alive and well and will be supporting real conservatives in the 2010 election while garnering Fred activist support. Second, and sooo important is that Fred has a 2 hour daily format to get his message out along with a website with plenty of podcast download. This consititutes not retirement, but an on-going campaign/PR machine, the power of which should not be overlooked. I hardly think you have heard the last of Fred in US politics.

it would be interesting to hear from Fred’s campaign volunteers in Iowa and South Carolina. Is everyone else all talk and no action?
