$4.60 is a bargain. Here in Chicago our RINO Gov. just rasied cig taxes and had the gall to cite 9-11 as the reason. Cost per pack now: $6.00.

Really is kind of suprising that we don't, say, legalize heroin, and do the same thing -- make the damn 'junkies' pay for everything.
Heck lets just slap on a 20% sales tax on people with felony records - Im sure they got visas too.

It's always been about money, Joe. I don't think any state used their share of the tobacco settlement for the purposes they said they would.
I'd love to find something that just libs love and tax the crap out of it. Maybe Volvo station wagons? Or black socks to wear with their sandals.

Engler proposed a 50-cent increase -- 20 cents higher than lawmakers had discussed. Engler, backed by major education groups, proposed earmarking the additional 20 cents for schools to preserve a minimum $6,700 per pupil state allowance in 2004. This RINO tried to buy the teacher's vote for Dubya by purchasing laptops for all Michigan teachers. At the same time, he squashed the referendum for school vouchers.
Glad I got my butt out of that state.

It's to the point anymore that, with a few exceptions, it doesn't matter whether they are republicans or democrats. All they want is more money to spend on all those poor disadvantaged people.
I wish that a MAJOR third party would come into existence.
