This would be a great time to be in the "Uhaul" business as productive members of California's society migrate out of here like squirrels leaving a dying mulberry patch!

When we had our last recession in Kali, ten years ago due to Willie Brown and Burton again taxing and spending us into a recession.

A great little cottage industry sprang up. A lot of Kalis were moving to Oregon. Retired guys and college students got paid by the uhaulit rental agencies to fly to Portland. They were met by uhaulit personnel given keys to a uhaulit truck with a trailer attached to drive back to Kali.. There was no demand for the units coming back from Oregon/Portland, traffic was basically one way.

The drivers got paid for driving the vehicles and usually could get a per diem for motel and food. Of course all gas costs were covered. A couple of retired guys from our fly club would do trips during steelhead and salmon seasons. They would fish their way back down to and in Kaliland, all expenses paid and make money while doing the trip. One guy would make two trips per week during the season. He loved it!
