They don't want to hear anything about the CONTENT of Christianity. They want someone in a collar to come and flatter them, with the flattery disguised as a prayer to God.

"I don't think it's appropriate for someone to lecture us on Roe versus Wade in a prayer,"And, I don't think it's appropriate to refer to a prayer as a lecture, and make a political statement about it by walking out.
He should be grateful his mama didn't "choose."

Rev. Meeks is one of the last of a dying breed, a clergyman with a spine.
God bless him.

This kind of thing has happened before - possibly in Colorado. Read
this thread and see. This kind of thing should happen
every day as any minister/pastor/bishop/priest/whatever would/should pray such a prayer before our corrupt political bodies.

A heroic and brave man. If the world were not watching, these liberal-democrat child-destroyers would stoned him like Stephen.

This is the little guy those Sinators would like to have the right to partially extract and suck its brains out. Might be her womb - sure as hell aint her life or her property.

Excellent comments. My thoughts exactly. I was going to post something, but you all have already done it.
These reps are beneath contempt. Walking out on a prayer because they got their little feelings hurt. Pathetic. Surely Colorado could do better.

I wish I had been in the Colorado Legislature. I would have given him a loud standing ovation--even I had to do it alone.

It's the rest that haven't that I am after.
Thanks for supporting FR
To: Mr. Lucky
Apparently, no spokesman for the unborn children the pastor sought to save were available for comment.Call me crass, but I consider how many people grow up unquestioningly following their parents' political beliefs; and that it would tend to be overwhelmingly liberals who would avail themselves of the abortion remedy to end pregnancies; so therefore, of the millions of babies killed since Roe v. Wade, millions of democrat voters were flushed by their own.
How many of them might have lived in Florida, and been old enough to vote in 2000?
To: Arthur McGowan
You are so right, Arthur! They invite a Christian clergyman to speak, but when he speaks Christianty they are "outraged." May I take the liberty of loudly repeating what you said:
They don't want to hear anything about the CONTENT of Christianity. They want someone in a collar to come and flatter them, with the flattery disguised as a prayer to God.
To: frossca
Epps said she walked out because of remarks that were belittling to women. As a woman I don't feel belittled by that prayer. Do any of you women out there feel belittled? As a woman I am honored the prayer was offered. :)
