I'm afraid not... Entertainment shows (yup the media!) is specifically exempted from the 60 day gag rule of CFR. So West Wing and its Hollyweird ilk can continue to peddle liberal causes and endorse liberal candidates on the air right up to election day. C'mon do you really think the Rats and RINOs would have agreed to Johnny McLame's scheme if it had gagged them? I'm sure Aaron Sorkin's looking forward to the NEW ERA in which the Left has this fantasy we'll go away if we're shut up. Its going to be interesting to see if it'll turn out that way. Watch out for all those unintended consequences and perhaps Sorkin and friends will find themselves bit back in the ass. Now that would be fun to watch!!! :)

I agree that the Hollywood crowd would never tolerate the liberals in Congress making them play by the same rules as everybody else. It is their fantasy to shut down paid and alternative media because those are the only places non-liberals are allowed to speak. Hence CFR. I have watched The Left Wing twice and it was nothing more than a paid advertisement for the DNC. The Sorkins and McLames of this world are more dangerous because they truly believe themselves to be intellectually and morally superior.

Do you mean to tell me that this guy relies on CNN and the New York Times for unvarnished objectivity. No wonder he sounds like a raving lunatic. This pathetic soul is waaaaaaaaaay out there beyond The Twilight Zone.

Since Gore is in fact a log, he probably lopped off one of his own twigs (formerly his brain), turned it into pulp then paper, on which he finally drew up his resume with a Crayola, etc., etc.
Gore --> goofball / West Wing --> goofy

""It was frustrating watching Gore try so hard not to appear smart in the debates."ROFLMAO..................Hey Sorkin; I watched those debates, and trust me..........Gore made it look all too easy. :)

Aaron Sorkin=rectus maximus. As if anyone really cares what his opinion is...he should stick with what he does best - make believe.

A few of my younger friends love "The West Wing". They tell me that Martin Sheen would be a great president.
I try to get them to read or (if they have to watch televison) watch C-SPAN,
What to do?

When is NBC ("Nothing But Communism") going to pull the plug on this silly show "The Left Wing"? It's about time.

No, John Lithgow was on Third Rock. I mean the guy who used to play a doctor on Mad About You. On Spin City, he's a ringer for MB - abc - don't know what night. Curling has taken me away from sitcoms. lol

I had to read some of the article to see who Sorkin is. I don't watch that program. Eight years of Dirty Bill, four years of Li'l Jimmie, & more than enough from the Great Society and Camelot, has soured me on the White House as it is filtered through the mind and eyes of the liberals. Truth in Packaging would require that the show be called Left Wing instead of West Wing, I suspect. However, call it what they wish, I don't watch it and probably never will. That also means that I don't know who the advertisers are who sponsor it or what they sell-- probably VD curing snake oils. That's also why I didn't know who Sorkin is.

An interesting question would be why Drudge feels the need to publicize this idiot's ravings. I often think that Drudge likes to bash President Bush through second-hand quotes. It's "news," you see.
I couldn't agree with you more about Drudge.I've thought close to the same thing myself. There's also some freepers, who like Drudge,do the same thing. They post assinine threads trashing the President. It's their way, like you just said,of using an article to get at GWB.

HEY! Let's crawl into a sleeping bag with diversity and spoon with tolerance here, now. Just because this individual is a drug addict and an unashamed Democrat (redundant?) is no reason to assume that he's off center.

I enjoy watching the West Wing I assume that you know that by doing so you are supporting the enemy?

Bartlet is going to be running against Governor Robert Ritchie, of Florida, who's not the sharpest tool in the box but who's raised a lot of money and is very popular with the Republican PartyWow. That race is going to be so exciting. I wonder who's going to win. I'm on the edge of my seat </sarcasm>
