I don't care if the have a (D) or (R) after their name, they must be put out. I agree with you. On just about all the issues, low taxes, less regulation, the right to bear arms, I think conservative. That's why I'm on this forum. But some of the biggest backstabbers on the immigration issue are Republicans. I can think of at least 20 on the top of my head who vote for every illegal alien benefit that comes their way, including mine BTW. I've called him, complained, what good does it do? People must organize and start removing everyone that won't do what has to be done. Close the borders, and enforce our laws.

no sure but he seems to be the only person in congress that is speaking out against this stupid amnesty and protection of our borders from this invasion. I wish he was my congressmen.

Can someone explain how I can get on an immigration ping list? There's a lot of threads that come up I don't even know about.

This is the only friend we have in congress. This guy deserves our support. I know I heard his speech. I find it unbelievable that while poll after poll shows the vast majority of Americans favoring immigration reform we have only one "vocal" member of Congress talking about the immigration crisis. I give Tom a lot of credit for talking about it but where is everyone else?

Do you know how to use the Self-Search feature at the top or bottom of each FR page? Try clicking.
There's also a "notify" feature. After you log on to FR, set up a separate, permanent browser window with this in the address bar...
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/notify
It constantly refreshes, and alerts you with a chime when you get a flag or Freepmail.

As much as I like President Bush,(only President Regan has an equal place in my admiration), this is the one item, if passed that would cause my vote to go elsewhere in the next Presidentual election. I hate to pop your bubble but the 1987 amnesty was granted under President Reagan.
I think he was a great man, and a good president, but I disagreed with him on that. It encouraged our current immigration disaster. Granting amnesty again now will be a guarantee to anyone contemplating jumping the border, that amnesty will be granted again in a few years.
Someone needs to sit President Bush down, and explain to him that if another amnesty is granted our biggest imports will soon be poverty, and disease. I pointed this out to a congressional candidate last nite, and he agreed.

Now I got it, thanks for that. Didn't even know that page existed.

Some woman (who works for fed.gov) was just on the radio talking about plans to build colonies for the immigrants to be built in the SW states. Big bucks for homes, sewer systems, etc., etc. I think their employers should build them. It is already being done in border towns, the number of new develpments along the border is beyond belief.

I believe it is time for a national referendum on our current federal government. The question thats needs to be addressed is whether or not Americans believe our federal government is effectively doing its job. We would need to judge whether or not the federal government is enforcing all federal laws, planning for the future needs of the United States and its citizens, and putting the interests of American citizens first and foremost above all others.
If a majority of American citizens voted "NO", meaning that the current federal government was not effectively doing its job, then the government would be dissolved. This dissolution would consist of the dismissal of the President and his entire Cabinet, the dismissal of all members of Congress, and the dismissal of the heads of all federal government departments and agencies.
