Yeah Race, couple of them arrested in Columbus, Ohio photographing AEP Electrical sites in October.

As I remember (not always a reliable indication) there was a post on FR a couple of years ago that detailed an incident were a tour bus stopped at a highway historical marker in Arizona - while others were reading the bronze plaque, two men (either Chinese or Arabic) wandered off to the nearby highway bridge over the major East-West rail line and began photographing bridge supports.
I have no idea who the poster was - but I believe the post was around the time that the Wen Ho Lee spy case was in the news - so that would make the men probable Chinese.
The poster commented that this was a significant bridge because with one act you could disable both East/West highway and rail traffic going into LA/San Diego.

You might find these interesting. Several other incidents are mentioned in the threads, including a group of guys masquerading as Coast Guardsmen on a phony Coast Guard boat, which my own brother saw (along with other witnesses).

Update on the phony Coast Guard vessel: still no further sign after the first several reports. It is being actively looked for, so in all likelihood the boat was quickly sunk or removed from the water.(?)
