I know what you mean about the GOP. Trent Lott seems to be totally stymied half the time. I can't figure out why he is the Minority Leader.

Gordon Smith was great about Enron today. He skewered Hollings and said trying to tie Enron to Bush was ridiculous. He even brought up the fact that this house of cards was created while Clinton was in office! I couldn't believe my ears. Now, we need about 47 more GOPers to speak up too. Errrrrr!

I'd rather see Bush wait a day or so. The Dashole announcement needs a day or two to sink in with the public. Unfortunately, the Dems like to "play" the news cycle, and that's how you play it right back at 'em.

If I could choose the Minority Leader, I would choose Rick Santorum. He is a great speaker and defends the President beautifully. Because of that, he is rarely invited on to the talking head shows. They always invite the poor speakers and put them up against the best RAT speakers. Lott is a disgrace and should be replaced. By the way, I just heard Wendell Goler on Fox say that the President said his weekly breakfast meeting with the leadership might be a bit frosty this time around. I would still rather have had the Republicans come out during "Inside Politics" today and blast daschle. They are wimps and they disgust me. And as far as I'm concerned, the media should be in jail.

I sent a check last week for $50.00 to JOhn Thune's senate campaign and am praying that he is one of MANY republicans to take over the Senate come November...Daschle is helping ENERGIZE the Republican party! Thanks Ebineezer Daschle!

If this is true,WHY isn't George using The Office Of The President as a Bully Pulpit?That is part of the use of the office!Or is that coming in the next few days?It better be coming soon,because the Repubs., are already being blamed for this!It's only Tuesday!

If it were anyone other than Trent "no cajones" Lott, I might have some hope. I don't know if Hiltery has some FBI file with him and a coed or what; but Lott is so worthless he is an asset to the democrats. Something has smelled about Lott for a long time now.

Good idea. Thune deserves our support. We have got to take back the Senate and keep the House. If we do, this President will accomplish so much it will make the RATS' heads spin - maybe even spin around in circles and spit pea soup. I have no mercy towards them anymore!
