I remember reading all three of the library's books on homonyms, antonyms, and synonyms when I was in 4th grade. I recall that they were a pretty popular read when they came in.

Replied with a new name. They were not happy with my other post. Did you see there is a scroll down menu at the link you provided for the California Teachers chatroom with others on it?

Detracking

Our high school currently has levels in World History, U.S. History, Civics and Economics based on reading, writing and skill level. Our Social Studies STAR test results are consistently the highest in our school. Our principal has mandated we de-track our levels. We are looking for information about de-tracking, both pro and con. If you have had any experience with this at your site, we would appreciate information. Thank you.

The best way to dumb down all the kids is definitely to put them all into one homogenous track. You get the dual benefit of stifling the need to learn in the abnormally self-reliant students, mixed with a greater sense of mediocrity for the whole school. Go for it!

Thanks, I did not see that scroll down menu. More opportunities for trouble.

Replied. Be interesting to see if Texas teachers have a different attitude than most.

I guess the CFT has not monitored since yesterday. My post is still there.

Hit the reply button before I replied. Oh well. No action on the Texas teacher chat. Time to hit New York?

Well, I replied. I'm somewhat puzzled about the lack of freeper response to this. As you know, any money we can get out of the hands of teacher's unions is a win for conservatives. With the NEA spending over $70 million a year (against tax code) trying to elect Democrats, busting them is job one. No other groups have nearly the power the teacher's unions do.

I agree. In fact, I think only Conservative teachers should be hired for the next 20 years, so as to represent "diversity".

Either that or we just fire the MF's and make taxpayer-payroll-funded unions illegal.

Government unions should be banned. All the members do is vote for more government. What is really scary is that nearly 7 million government workers don't pay Social Security taxes but have their pensions invested in the markets. They already have union members sitting on the boards of Fortune 100 companies. Conceivable, someday, we might all be working for our kid's teacher or DMV clerks.
