Islam is peace? Hardly. "Islam" means submission. It's a cult of subjugation aimed at world dominance. We're in the gunsights of its fanatics right now.

Grand Mosque Seizure, November 20, 1979: 200 Islamic terrorists seized the Grand Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, taking hundreds of pilgrims hostage. Saudi and French security forces retook the shrine after an intense battle in which some 250 people were killed and 600 wounded.I can't believe I never heard of this incident.

Wow, I never heard of that either. Incredible, if it's true. The media just... forgot to mention it. And they could have used it as an excuse for gun control, which means they really wanted it covered up.

Actually, it wasn't a sniper attack from the observation attack against the city below (or against specific targets). Some Palestinian on the deck just took out a .380 pistol (not exactly a "sniper weapon") and started shooting other people on the observation deck, and then killed himself.

By covered up, I don't mean they would actually not report it, but they would not give it the coverage it really deserved, as a terrorist attack in America.

It couldn't be because the marxist controlled media in the US determined that it wasn't significant could it?

... they would not give it the coverage it really deserved, as a terrorist attack in America. Many of the terrorists acts against the U.S. were treated as criminal acts, and pertinent information was typically omitted or "strategically revised" to serve the media agenda.

I sure do remember it. Funny that I do NOT remember the Palestinian angle, just some brother of one of the victims being given endless airtime to explain why even New York's gun laws weren't strict enough, and how tougher laws would ensure that something like that never happened again.
I swear, I have a very good memory, and if I don't remember hearing that the shooting was about Israel, it's either because it wasn't true or because it was deliberately omitted.
Should be possible to find 1997 articles about this online.

I remember it exactly as you.

widow speaks
I could slap myself silly. This was a terrorist incident, it was just spun as a gun-control thing (I could slap Rudy silly too, wonder how he feels about it now). The protests of the wife that he was a "good man, not political, just distraught over losing all his money" just sound too familiar in light of recent events.
