A typical freeper.Glad you caught my post! Frankly it took more of my attention than the noxious traitor to whom is was directed was worth. By the way, you left out the nice font size and color stuff I put in.

A typical freeper.By the way, since you have been here since your Sore/Loserman masters sent you here during the election campaign, you should have learned by now that a statement such as this is crystal clear evidence that you are no kind of freeper at all, but just another disrupter.

I had heard that the book was heavily derivative of earlier versions of the 'Heartland' geopolitical theory, I guess this proves it. It was this analysis that 'proved' that the USSR, by controlling the Hearland of Eurasia was unstoppable. Guess not, huh?First off Lucius, I didn't say one way or the other whether I agreed with his hypothesis; all I said was that this is what he thought, as he wrote it down in his book. Okay?
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Looks like he was saying that conquering and oppressing your neighbors is fine, because you end up with a cohesive state, as opposed to a far flung commercially oriented empire like Britain's.Right.

Which is why I really don't believe he had any immediate designs on America. It's not consistent with his plan, the plan of increasing the size of the German state.......and he clearly believed Germany's destiny lie to the east. This theme is reiterated over and over again.

My dilemma with Darth is that I agree with him on several points. I agree that illegal and wanton immigration should be curtailed. I even agree that FDR may have had prior suspicion of Pearl Harbor. BUT where we have our disconnect is Darths view that we should not protect ourselves and our allies in the larger arena of the world. Isolationism IMHO cannot work in a world made smaller by todays technology. As I read history ... it was the isolationists that tried to prevent the USA from entering WW2. I believe that had we not entered the war at the time we did, it would have given the Axis powers time to develop certain WMD's that could have meant our quick and utter defeat when the war did finally come our way ... isolationist or not.

BTW I'm impressed by your level of historical and political prowess. I hope to see more of your posting in the future.

AC is firmly with the pro-arab raghead camp, and very, very anti-USA.Avoid using logic or advanced concepts such as protecting America, or defending ourselves as this only confuses him.
Thanks for the warning.

My strategy, btw, is to end all immigration, deport those already here, and bring home the troops, close all overseas bases, and end all foreign aid and withdraw from the UN.I agree with all of your points except to close all bases overseas. We need to have open bases overseas because the world depends on us for help. If we stopped helping abroead then a situation similar to WWII would creep up just like Iraq tried in 93. If we were not helping in the middle east back then Irac would have taken the entire region. As long as we have interests in that are we must stay and protect.

Which is why I really don't believe he had any immediate designs on America. It's not consistent with his plan, the plan of increasing the size of the German state.......and he clearly believed Germany's destiny lie to the east. This theme is reiterated over and over again. It seems to me that you are making two assumptions in your analysis. The first is that 'Mein Kamp' was an honest book, clearly delineating everything that Hitler wished to do, as opposed to being designed in part to gain popularity, after which he could proceed with a 'hidden agenda', which might be less popular.
The second is that he did not change his mind, and develop additional goals, after the book was written in the late 1920's.
The proof would be seen in whether or not he took major actions not in accord with these principles. It seems to me that the invasion of Britain was one such action, and the alliance with Japan in its war with America was a second. If he ever would have taken the third step, and attacked America itself, that must remain in the area of conjecture.

I pretty well agree with your points in #208, and thank you for #209. I guess we will run into each other.
