Name one thing that's come out of anything Dan Burton's ever done ...

I'm glad Cheney is holding firm. I've had enough of Henry Waxman's nostrils trying to snort up everything possible to slander the Bush administration.
What Waxman and Burton want is the equivalent of going through YOUR checkbook ledgers, phone bill, credit card statements, etc.--ALL without any specific allegation of wrongdoing, any specific questions, or probable cause that a crime or ethics violation has been committed.
It's all pure B.S. There's a reason a judge has to issue a search warrant to search a citizen's home or private business, and the same principle should apply to the Executive Branch.

Thank you for calling this thread to the attention of that other one. I didn't see it until now. As usual, Mark Levin presents his side of an issue with persuasive clarity. But you know what? On this issue, (and a few others come to mind), closed minds will not be changed.

Good article. Imagine the chilling effect that having every meeting with a private citizen subject to review by congressmen (and thereby the media)with political agendas. "Sorry Mr. President, I'd love to discuss (fill in the blank) with you, but I don't think my neighbors want media trucks showing up on their lawns at 5:00 AM the next day."

MARK LEVIN BUMP! Miss Marple, Thank you for the heads up with respect to this informative article. I missed it when it was first posted and it helps me to understand what's going on a bit better.
Great find, Utah Girl!
