I am overwhelmed and extremely grateful for all of you, and all of your prayers! Things continue to be difficult, and stranger-than-fiction in this nightmare that I am praying for God to turn around for me. For months, my fiance and I had been assured that my mother had $3,000 for my dental surgery "in an account." Then she decided to hold it hostage for an apology from me, for my getting upset with them for ignoring me all these years. I refused to be blackmailed, and I think that's where I left off before?
Bob told my mother, via email, that there are some things that can't be bought in this life, and apologies are one of them. Her reply? All of a sudden, the $3,000 is not there! She was blackmailing me for an apology using money she didn't even have! However, if I apologize, she "may TRY to get a loan for it." ???
In a previous -- and recent -- email, she was moaning about how she was being run ragged, working 60-80 hours a week, and didn't have time to help me! (Still trying to explain that away!) Now she claims that the hospital has hired a bunch of new people and she can't even get a shift! Which is it? Is she working 60-80 hours a week or has she been written off the schedule completely?? Regardless of which lie is the truth, she is still forking over $100+ apiece for Steiff bears, elephants, and what-not on eBay! In the past month alone, she has bid well over $1,000 on stuffed animals! Now she is wailing about how they have a house payment, and insurance, and taxes (like they do every January!), and -- all of a sudden she claims that she has been "extremely ill for the past three or four months and may need minor, or major surgery!"
I don't doubt she has a headache; I would too, if I had to keep up with all of those lies at once!! And while she is an ordained Methodist minister, Bob has been writing to her about prayer and forgiveness and living Scripturally, but she has yet to mention God once in any of her emails, and she ignores all references that Bob has made of God and the Bible, etc.!
Needless to say, I am stressed out beyond belief, and my doctor has me on a tranquilizer, so I've been sleeping a lot lately. I'm not thinking as straight as I could be, so I hope I've made at least a little sense here??
I did want to keep you updated on my situation, but mostly, I want to thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart!! Thank you so very, very much for answering my cry for prayers, and for keeping me in yours! That means more to me than you could ever know!
May God richly bless you all! I will be praying for all of you as well. And I thank God for bringing me to such a special place on the internet. FReepers are the best people there are!!
