Just like ABC did to Rush's TV show.
There's a reason other successful cable shows don't invite schlubs like me to appear on stage with the host.
It just doesn't work.
I missed that. LOL!
Folks, tell your friends! We gotta get his numbers up to keep his show from being pulled. There are going to be some ugly meetings at PMSNBC tomorrow.
You are correct!
No doubt about it....it just doesn't work.
I'm just amazed this is on MSNBC ... with that said .. it was a good show
I'm not shocked. I knew you would like it tonight. In fact, I was thinking about you while I was watching it. Despite our differences, I know you have been a staunch pro-lifer and you put the pro-life cause above personalities and personal disputes.
FRegards,
I don't know much about the tactics of either side so I defer. Hope Keyes does get away with this. About time we have something very different on network TV (and I did not support Keyes in 2000).
If he can stay on the air, he's more effective there than in politics anyways.
With Fox giving Gretta a show in the same time slot ..
Oh call me crazy .. but I expect Alan's ratings will go thru the roof ..
If he's himself, there'll be a tirade before the week is out. Keyes is self-aware on his show, so far, and I hope he stays that way.
BTW, it's "lose."
A local ad was for the largest car and truck dealer in Robert Wexler's district. I doubt I'll see that ad again.
Thank you, sinkspur.
But they can't take him off now. They HAVE to keep him on or lose their ratings. MSNBC has learned from FOX, and know they now have to placate the right to stay in business. They saw all the CNN layoffs. They would also look like fools after all the bad publicity about the liberal bias on CBS.

Absolutely! I got my dad and brother to watch it with me tonight, VERY difficult people to win over, and he hit what (for them) can be considered a home run!! We need to also e-mail MSNBC management and ask them for MORE shows like this one. Let them see our support for hearing the truth spoken!
I am so proud of Dr. Keyes! (I just hope he has a contract.)
Go to the MSNBC site and find Alan's page, then vote for the story.
Cheers,
Richard F.
Ambassador Keyes had better get his guests in the common man segment to respond to his questions or he's going to have a very short stay. His first question was cited in this thread's title. Nobody came close to answering it. His second question had to do with Hiroshima and Nagasaki: again, no direct responses. I left at this point.
Each guest turned the questions into opportunities to talk about themselves. "My brother and sister were near Ground Zero" was a response to question 1. "I'm the same age as the children in Shindler's List" was a reply to question 2.
No doubt, common people do take every opportunity to discuss themselves; which is why "common people" (myself included) should not be on TV. Boring, off-topic and self centered dialogue will not bring in the viewers.
The chat room was the same as all chat rooms I've run across. Too fast paced and fragmented for my abilities. The segments I caught were mostly off topic. I'm sure this will be a surprise to FReepers: a thread getting off topic.
I like Keyes and hope he gains control and reformats his show into a winner.
