"...the magnificent Pittsburgh Steelers."

They looked tough, especially without The Bus...I figger it'll be them and the Rams in the Super Bowl but I'm not sure how well the Steelers' DBs match up in that one.

"1.8 Million Clinton/Gore Emails Found"

"We are confident that the e-mail contains a treasure trove of information concerning Filegate, Chinagate, and, yes, even Enrongate. Any incriminating e-mail will be part of renewed Judicial Watch efforts to put the Clintons in jail," stated Judicial Watch Chairman and General Counsel Larry Klayman."

Janis was a real independent thinker, Mud.
Hell of a woman; who I'd dare say would be as far to the political Right today as one could possibly get.
She valued the very essence of, "Freedom" so much?
What she saw happening around her had as much to do with her losing her will to live as anything else; drugs notwithstanding.
I always considered myself lucky in one regard to this gal, though.
She left me her music.

...so as long as I live, she lives.

"Hell of a woman; who I'd dare say would be as far to the political Right today as one could possibly get. She valued the very essence of, "Freedom" so much..."

I think we may have touched on this previously, but I sincerely believe Janis--like so many other artistes from her generation and mine--was a Victim of Lib'ralism's Evil Lie. What the 60's "FReedom Songs" called for was libertarianism and peace, but it was hijacked by Leftist PowerWhores like Slick Willie and the HildaBeast who deliberately--and quite successfully--skewed Love and Compassion to mean an Ever-Expanding Federal Leviathan. David Horowitz speaks knowingly on the Disillusionment that the Yippie Generation faced when they realized that they were but PUNKS for the Effete Elite...Joplin, Hendrix, Morrison, etc. allowed the Gnawing Void of Lib'ral Vacuousness to Eat on Their Souls and eventually they destroyed themselves.

That's your take.
I was alive then; remember her at 98.6*.

I told you before that what was Left then, has now become Right.
Along with all the other Leftist-inspired juxtapositions such as what's down is now up, black now white, bad now good.

Things; & by that I mean people, have changed that much, my dear, spirited, & admired friend.
In fact; wanna Monday moring laugh?
You're MORE like a plugged-in Hippie than you may ever realize.
Not one Hippie I'd ever known, & I knew a lot, EVER carried a picture of Chairman Mao.
Now as for the supposed leaders of the Yippies, Dippies, & Shitties?
Yea they might've & undoubably did; but ya know what, Slim?
Those assholes didn't represent most of us nearly as much as you've been told they had.
And told by who else, I dare say?
The Lamestream Media Goons.
~eeewwwyoww! :o)

...& no disrespect intended towards someone I admire as much as anyone dead or alive, either; Mr. David Horowitz.

"You're MORE like a plugged-in Hippie than you may ever realize."

Heh heh heh...yer not the first one to make such an allegation...I wouldda been a groovey dude in the 60's and 70's were I but ten years older, but when I became politically-aware I was immersed in Reaganism from the git-go!!

"Not one Hippie I'd ever known, & I knew a lot, EVER carried a picture of Chairman Mao."

LOL...I figgered that was an Urban Myth. But I have seen Che Guevera banners in windows of college kids who presently question the legitimacy of Dubyuh's War on Terrorism...scary, I reckon.

"Slick and the DNC"
(To be sung to Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee")

Started back in Ninety-Two, feelin' all our pain...
Lib'ral's Dealin' Fear as Jaded as Left's Dreams!!
Medyuh tore Bush, Sr. down...Biased fer a Change...
Left told us all, "Came-a-Lot's Back in Ol' DeeCee!!"

Slick broke all The Rules...Lib'ral Press just said, "Fantastic!!"
Justice turned "Off"...plump interns spanked Slick's tool.
Weirdo Lefties cheerin' Slime...MUD thought the Country'd Lost its Mind!!
MUD sang every song Dem Leftists spew!!

Freedom's just another word fer nothin' left to lose
Nothin' ain't worth nothin', Country, if we ain't FRee!!
And Feelin' Good IS easy, Lord, oh, when you Sing Fer Truth!!
You know feelin' good was good enough for me
Good enough for Slick and the Dee-N-See!!

From the Kentucky coal mines to the California sun
Yeah Bobby shared the secrets of my soul
Through all kinds of weather, through everything we done
Yeah Bobby baby kept me from the cold

One day up near Salinas, lo-ord, I let him slip away
He's lookin' for that home and I hope he finds it
Well I'd trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday
To be holdin' Bobby's body next to mine

Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to lose
Nothin', and that's all that Willie left me
Well, feelin' good was easy, lo-o-ord, when he sang the blues
And feelin' good was good enough for me
Good enough for me and my Bobby McGee yeah

Hey now Bobby now now Bobby McGee yeah
Lo lo LO lolo LO lo laa, lololo LO lolo LO lolo LO lolo LO la laa
Hey now Bobby now now Bobby McGee yeah

Lord, I called him my lover, I called him my man
I said I called him my lover, did the best I can
C'mon, hey now Bobby now, hey now Bobby McGee, yeah
Lo lo lord, a lord, a lord, a lord, a lord, a lord, a lord oh
Hey, hey, hey, Bobby McGee, lord

ExceLLLent, my man!!
I especially liked the, "Good enough for Slick and the Dee-N-See!!"

Although, that'd just be one of many lines I found clever.
You go man!

Say?
How is it that it appears you left the Italians tag on, & it somehow *fooled* the software (John wrote) into *not* turning 'em off following a paragraph marker??

...that's Mudboy Slim luck for ya; I'd have to have ADDED all those Italians over & over. :^)

"Brilliant, simply brilliant...MUD"

I thank you for the compliment. Your line "race to stab each other's back" fits perfectly. Here's one I wrote after watching a show on the subject matter.

Street Of Broken Dreams

Run away, run away, little girl
to the street of broken dreams
break the chains that bind you
you are free! you are free!

Follow the man with the sweet facade
as he leads you down the promenade
of the street of broken dreams
you are free! you are free!

At first he will treat you well
before you descend into his living hell
he’ll start you off doing tricks
then comes the porno flicks

Soon will come emptiness
along with sorrow and pain
what you thought was best
is just another set of chains

You’ll find your choice a bitter cup
from which you’ve chosen to drink
old friends will try to lift you up
before you reach the brink

But they will find to their dismay
you will not listen to what they say
choosing instead to suffer the pains
of your new master’s chains

Just another set of chains
on the street of broken dreams

Howdy, A-G!! Don't know if you've seen this and I cannot buttress the credentials of the source, but
Why Would the Head of the FBI's Anti-Terrorism Force be in OKC the Day of the Murrah Building Blast?!

And if he was, why would he LIE about it in his book?!
