How about a freeper convoy to South of the Border?

Hey! Cool screen name. Are you, by chance, related to Phantom Lord?

I doubt they would care. From what I've been able to learn, they all left there before the war. ;-) The one I'm descended from built the log house that I mentioned in 1780, in Cherster county. My brother and his boy may be the only descendants of that family in that county now, and we grew up in York county. He's been there about 12 years or so.

the home of the Klan-Communist Workers Party "shoot out". Believe me, I know EXACTLY what can happen when one groups provokes/dares another group. At least we know that the communists can't hit the broad side of a barn.

That's for sure! But they were the "victims," you know. :-)

"The border patrol is our way of standing at the Georgia and North Carolina borders (and asking) that you not stop, not stay in hotels, and don't buy gas" in South CarolinaBut if we don't buy gas, we'll be stuck there... forever!
Don't these NAACP guys realize that a boycott will hurt black-owned businesses more than white-owned businesses? (the kind of people who listen to what the NAACP says are the kind of people who go out of their way to frequent black establishments).

The naacp should be sued for denying people their ability and opportunity to make a living. This sounds like the"BLACK CLAN"to me with these unlawful patrols and no doubt followed by threats and intimidation. See my 237 if you want to really understand threats and intimidation by black "border" patrols.
To be clear I believe in civil rights and equality of opportunity for all. And I realize that there were severe inequities of opportunity for blacks as a whole at a time in our history. Moreover, truly there is no way I could begin to fathom the horrors of slavery and what those indentured folk endured. Course today, fortunately there are no blacks that can either. Yet there are still some blacks here who can recall and who have survived the inequities of opportunity. This no one can deny. And it is an unhealed wound which shadows our our existence as a whole society. A wound so severe and so dreadful that it may take centuries to heal...only time will tell.
As a southerner myself, the confederate flag means nothing to me at this juncture. When I grew up in SC I pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and then went on to prove my allegiance with service in the Marine Corps 69-73...and there were blacks there with me then doing the same thing. So there is no dispute concerning their allegiance as a whole. So if they want this damn confederate flag removed because it reminds them of slavery, then I say remove the G-D flag. The so called confederacy is dead...let it die and let's move on.

Crips or Bloods?

The flag they are offended by is flying over a confederate war memorial on the Statehouse grounds.
There are multiple memorials on the Statehouse grounds, including the Civil Rights memorial which has carved into it, the likenesses of many famous black Americans from SC, including Jesse Jackson.

They want to talk about hate?........They need to listen to some of their rap songsAnd who would "they" be?
To: classygreeneyedblonde
They are saying that the confederate flag is full of hate and i'm saying their rap music isYour "they"s don't seem to be referring to the same group. One "they" is the NAACP (the one that is protesting). Whose rap music is it, pray tell?

trying to get cars to see a message when they are going 60 mph.. Only 60 mph? What's the matter? Did someone drop a cylinder?

Well, I'll be crossing that particular border next week unless these folks are more persuasive than they have been for quite some many years heretofore. I am hoping that representatives of a big national organization with a lot of money attempt to deprive me of my civil rights to go where I wanna go and do what I wanna do with respect to a nice and legal winter vacation. I am generally critical of lawsuits, but the exception, as they say, sometimes proves the rule. The exception, a big lawsuit against the naa.. might be useful at this point. Could put a group that is just a radical democratic party wing and a public nuisance out of business and help wean American Blacks off the "big teat" and toward self-confident progress on their own individual and really quite considerable merits.

They think they're gods and that they can do whatever they want. Truthfully, they're nothing but a criminal group made up of whiners, losers and jerks. Their behavior proves it.

In explaining the border patrols, Rivers said NAACP personnel periodically would be stationed at various South Carolina entrances, "with protection," to let travelers know that sanctions are still in place.I have made my decision. I will DEFINITELY be VACATIONING in SOUTH CAROLINA this year.
Any South Carolinians who would like to suggest vacation distinations, please do.
