Ashcroft is no friend of our Constitution and therefore no friend of mine

If you really believe that I would suggest that you RE-READ our constitution... John Ashcroft respects the "rule of law" and as such will ENFORCE laws that he PERSONALLY believes are MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE !!.. while at the same time working tirelessly to CHANGE those laws...

I am sorry you have chosen to NOT support a man of INTEGRITY because he does not live up to your expectations, and does his job !!

FReegards,

David

May I ask your party affiliation? Your attacks are very characteristic of Democrat/Communist party tactics..

I remember it ALL TO WELL.. I watched in HORROR the Democrats pull NO PUNCHES with LIES and SLANDER to discredit a man of INTEGRITY simply because they were scared he would NOT compromise on MORAL PRINCIPLE which is the first requirement to becomming a DEMOCRAT !!

Thank you so much for you support of this Honorable Man!!!

David

Apparently this THREAD has cause more "friction" than I ever anticipated.. I have recieved a number of requests from FReepers wishing to be deleted from my "ping" list.. I have happy to accomdated, I am just surprised that a thread soliciting support for an Honorable man would cause this to occur...

If you requested to be deleted and you got this ping, please send me another FReepmail and I will do my best to keep my ping list limited to those who want to be ON..

IF you want to be added please FReepmail me as well..

David

I support them, but, they are politicians, therefore, I do not give them blind trust. Criminals do not obey laws already on the books, so, I don't see where a new law will change that. Isn't that what makes them criminals?

Also, wasn't there laws on the books against hijacking airplanes and deliberately crashing into buildings and murdering people?? If those existing laws did not stop thoses evil b@stards, what makes you think the new law will.
I believe there are 20,000+ gun laws on the books. Have they stopped one shooting? Have laws against rape stopped one rape? How about burglary/theft?

I believe the new law will come back to haunt us big time.
I would like to see Mr. Ashcroft go after the clintons for their treachery in addition to protecting us from terrorists without passing new laws.

What really bothers me about the "p.a.t.r.i.o.t" law is that both houses passed it without reading it. It wasn't even printed according to Rep. Ron Paul. Does that bother anyone else? Also, I noticed a few minutes ago a posting which stated the Pres. Bush DID NOT read the new education law, but, he signed!! What's up with that?
As I said before, I wish them well, but, they are politicians.

Seeing as how you pinged me to this thread again! Guess again! I have never in my life voted LP. IMHO your thread is just GOP propaganda. Please do not ping me to it again.

A D.O.T. that ran $15 Billion out of control being one item. Don't forget that's at the State Level too.

MOD.O.T. gets its funding from the Missouri legislature, not from the governor's office.

St. Louis and KC union bosses... are Democrats, and from the Democratic party comes their favors, and from the Democrat straight-ticket plantation multi-voter cometh the power of the MO Democratic party. They get a lot of help from southern MO "Poplar Bluff" rednecks who are genetically Democrat and who all too often fail to remember to protect their gun rights more than they protect their welfare checks.

"MOD.O.T. gets its funding from the Missouri legislature, not from the governor's office."

His same Party Auditor (Margaret Kelly) pointed out the problems with MoDot and their spending habits. Johnny decided to declare a "Economic Emergency" regardless. He was Mo. Chief Executive Officer, he appoints Highway Commission members, (strangely, when he left and Carnahan came in, almost ALL of the Commission left and new were appointed).

In other words, you contend that as governor he had nothing to do with MoDot problems?

David: You are getting flack from several groups who oppose the Attorney General.

First, there are those to whom the craving for drugs is more important than the survival of our nation. Second there are fanatic LP members, who are opposed to any effective means of defending our country -- see their Presidential candidate, Harry Browne, and his opposition to any effective war on terror. Third, there are those who share my disappointment that we have not done more to prosecute the criminals of the administration of X-2, but allow this to enlist them in opposition the defense of the United States. Fourth there are those who have personal disputes with the AG, but have nothing to back it up, since if they did, it would have been used at the confirmation hearings. Finally we have the usual DU disrupters.

Except for the misguided members of the third group, who just need to get their heads on straight, I do not much care which of the groups I summarize they are part of. For the simple fact is that they are a 'Fifth Column' in the United States, and are all, effectively, allies of Osama binLaden.

Ignore this trash, and continue with your good work.

I don't believe more laws and more Government control necessarily are the best approach.

Damned straight! How the hell many more laws can we possibly need? Repeal anything written since 1912, then we can talk

I, unlike others, can simply ignore a thread without having to whine about it. Glad you pinged me on the thread.

I believe the new law will come back to haunt us big time. I would like to see Mr. Ashcroft go after the clintons for their treachery in addition to protecting us from terrorists without passing new laws.

I would also have liked to have seen the AG go after the Clintons, but remember the decision was NOT his alone.. The President had to decide what was more important, and I support His decision to let it go, rather than give Mr. Clinton FREE press. The time act was missed when our elected senators FAILED to convict him, a decision our nation will REGRET for years to come

I think it was more important to pass it quickly... I have FULL confidence in our President, and wish I could have said the same for our PREVIOUS POTUS, but I would be lying if I did...

FReegards,

David
