Our repetitions are not vain.

Repeating the scriptures (the Our Father) over and over is neither vain nor heathen.

Race posted some Holy Scripture and you catholics call that bashing?

Satan can quote Scripture.

Race is baiting (sorry for the pun). When he talks to Catholics, his velvet glove hides a fist.

I go back a long way with this character. He's served his country honorably, and overcome a drug problem.

But, rather than show the goodness of his belief, he insists on tearing mine down.

I never heard of any direct scripture either. What I believe is: Since the child has no capacity to believe, nor have they had the opportunity to hear the Gospel and respond intelligently, I believe that God will take them into heaven as any born again believer.

This same arguement can be made of those who are incapable of believing, such as the mentally retarded.

There comes a time in a human's life where they have an understanding of God and sin, a point where they realize there is a God and they are accountable to Him. This is the age of accountability. 10 or 12 is past this I believe, but when it begins, I am not sure.

Ephesians 6:18 "By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints."

FOR

not TO.

All right, thanks for clarifying things for me: to disagree with you is to equal hateful bigotry and pure malice. It seems to me we have a case of the pot calling the kettle black-oh sorry, I'm being a bigot...

Baptists never had to repent. We believe we have been accurate all along and trace our history through the centuries before Luther.

How then would you propose he discuss your beliefs with you? I fail to see how his posts were in any way deragatory to you-if they are, you have almost certainly been guilty likewise.

The problem with your cut and paste is that it flings too much at once. Do you have a question regarding what we believe?

No wonder you people aren't all that upset about the murdering RCC throughout history.

Please don't try that on an Irishman. Half of Ireland was ethnically cleansed by British Protestants. German Catholics might wince at that. One third the population of Germany was killed in a war launched by Protestant princes against the Catholic peasantry.

However, neither citing these atrocities nor those committed by Catholics proves the truth of doctrine. Only prayer, scripture, and charitable discourse will reunify Christendom.

Because I do not agree with you I am hateful?

The links on your web pages are hateful. I can only judge you by what you say and reveal.

You have been far more hateful to me than anyone except for one other Christian basher. Why the hate?

No wonder you people aren't all that upset about the murdering RCC throughout history.

I don't like this kind of mischaracterization.

You best take the link to your webpage down, or take the Catholic-trashing stuff off it.

No ridicule. And why would I read that article? The man is arguing from a position I do not believe to be true.

But that is what we are trying to discuss. How can you reasonably expect to join a conversation when you don't even know what the discussion is about? Further, why should we extend the same courtesy to your postings by reading them? Do you ignore anything that doesn't conform to your enclosed view?

Cleburne:
Your thread?

Point well taken...I stand rebuked. :)

Borrow a dictionary and look up the word 'hubris.' Stand before a mirror and alternate your glance between the definition of that word and the image of your face. Repeat until you understand.

Actually the death of any unsaved person makes me sad.

I know the lingo "unsaved," but pause a momemt to think about what you are saying when you opine that one has died "unsaved."

Art thou not judging Another's servant?
