These 100 Airline disasters had one thing in common. The decisions of the pilot, at some point, had an effect on the final outcome. Some were unpreventable, yet others were. The pilot who assumes the responsibility has the final authority to remove suspect passengers, or to "park it at the gate" if he is so inclined!
Political Correctness has NO PLACE in the cockpit!!

I'm missing what a list of 100 airdisasters has to do with a pilot keeping a hotheaded Secret Service Agent off a flight.
Some of these flights were the result of mechanical failure and NOT pilot error or even pilot decision.

A pilot only needs ONE reason. "Because I said so."

Bravo and BUMP to your correct response!!! Your answer is the final statement to WHY a hot-head should always be bounced, "Because the PILOT says so"!!!

100 reasons why the CAPTAIN should always be the FINAL AUTHORITY on who rides (or who does not!) aboard his aircraft. Amen! And so too the taxi drivers and bus drivers in Manhattan -- the driver of a vehicle is solely responsible and must not be second-guessed.

Anyone who does not refuse to fly with middle-eastern men deserves what might happen.

Manhattan, New York, September 11 2001 - 4500+ Killed Perhaps they should adjust their figure of 4500+ killed at the WTC. The current death toll and still missing is around 2935 and falling.

Not only that, but many of them could have resulted from pilot error or negligence.

But this foul up with the Secret service agent and then lying about is the one reason American Air Lines is justly going broke.

So far American Airlines is standing by their principles and their pilot. Perhaps we should let them know of our support so they won't chicken out and give this hot-headed civil servant an extra retirement fund.

But if the cover-up of Flight 587, NY to DomRep proves to be terrorism, won't we all feel even more silly for criticizing pilots who are on alert? Worth considering.

Yeah, propaganda. When one attempts to tie in unrelated items to his agenda, it's propaganda. Continue with your shouting.

But this foul up with the Secret service agent and then lying about is the one reason American Air Lines is justly going broke. American's not lying. There are witnesses; the pilot is secure enough to put his report on the AA WEBSITE; and the airline is backing him to the hilt.
Also working against the SS agent is the fact that he ran to CAIR and an ambulance-chasing attorney with 24 hours after the incident.
AA is not any more "broke" than any other airline, save Southwest.
