"Ross Perot wasn't successful either..." And they're both considered kooks by moderates and quite a few conservatives. How does that advance anything? I understand what you're trying to say, but there is a fundamental principle that conservatives must follow in politics - reality. Kooks or people who seem like or are easily labelled as kooks, also appear out of touch with reality.
What if Buchanan were slightly less kooky in his PR and had taken more votes away from "W." thereby electing Gore? What would that have achieved? (I'm not disputing this current set of predictions on population, just the highly questionable public statements of the messenger).

You should read the book. Pat deals at length with the de-Christianization of America, which be blames, not on immigrants, but on the left-wing cohorts of Bill Clinton who now control the culture-forming institutions in America.

I don't consider being a mouthpiece a qualification for elected office. In reality Buchanan has his own strong opinions and thinks for himself. The reason the establishment both republican and democrat abhor Buchanan is because he is the exact opposite of a mouthpiece.

Then why would they be allowing it to be discussed now?

"You should read the book..." OK. Valid point. I just think that Pat has addressed issues concerning blacks, Mexican immigrants, and Israel in styles of verbal intemperance and obsessive preoccupation which really raise questions about his self-awareness.

Get real. I don't have the numbers off the top of my head, but this country was hugely agricultual, at least where I hail from and people were actually friends with their neighbors. Maybe it was different in the cities that suffered the greatest immigration, but there's not much of a choice about that in todays world, is there? ... the farmers are gone and Tyson imports its labor from Mexico, from whom we import most of our food these days (remember the rotten strawberries that made half of Detroit's kids sick). But then, of course, you can't grow strawberries in Detroit anymore, can you?

What would be the native fertility without the mass abortion?

... the farmers are gone My neighbors, all Michigan farmers, would be interested to find that out. One is an apple farmer. One is a dairy farmer. Another farms beans, wheat or whatever is most profitable that year.
And the Buchanan people claim WE ignore the truth.

NICE TRY....PAT HAS NOT NEEDED TO WORK FOR OVER 25 YEARS!!
Oh, so since 1976, or a few years after Nixon's resignation, Pat never needed to work. Has he had any really "meaningful work" besides his column, his CNN spot and the money he raises when he runs for president.
LOL............. You Patty supporters sometimes offer up the most lame excuses for this freak in politics. The Left has their freaks, the right has Ol Pat.

I'm curious to know your definition of "racist". Defined: anyone who is winning an argument, on the facts, with a liberal.

Can they supply the nation? Apparently you have no idea of the thousands of farmers who have been bankrupted and forcibly removed from their land by stupid government policies in the past 20 years and more.

Is that why the current president's grandfathers had their German held industrial holdings seized by the US govt. in 1942, after 20 years of heavy involvement in the German economy? I'm not saying they were Nazis. They were carpetbaggers, pure and simple. Amoral, unpatriotic carpetbaggers. How is that relevant to anything we're discussing here?
This is more than relevant if carpetbagger spawn is actively pursuing profit at the expense of our Republic.
