We could set up a mammo-mobile outside of all abortuaries!!!!

Huge signs: "free breast health screening today - do you know abortion is one of the primary risk factors for breast cancer?"

You could do it without any doctors or equipment!!! Just a screening to see if you have high risk factors.

Booths at every street fair, art festival, etc. and civi event or festival where booths are set up.

I would be all in favor of a bill to PROMOTE abortion rights, that every liberal should also support: Fix the price of an abortion at $10. Enact severe penalties for anyone who accepts a higher fee for an abortion. Every liberal who supports rent control, and supports a higher minimum wage, should agree that fixing a low, low price for abortion would make abortion available to more women.

I don't have a problem with her, per se, but this thread isn't about her--so could you please uit spamming it?

Yes, I've heard of mortal sin. Did you even read my reply to you that included the example of Paul and mercy? Or is this some big joke to you?

The idea that you have to go to hell -- to die forever -- is the enemy's Great Lie.

The Seven Hills were the start of Rome and Rome became Catholic, so...!

Where is Remus?

Rome has lots more than seven hills. Off the top of my head, I can name 11.

Remus is dead. Wanna make something of it?

Bit of a story: every January, NARAL has a banquet to celebrate Roe vs. Wade. They toast each other, eat, drink, and make merry. Minions of hell?

Yes.

Yes and every January 22, pro-lifers marching in the Rally for Life outside the Minnesota state capitol building outnumber the wimpy pro-aborts gathered inside about 8,000 to 30.

The best two-pronged strategy I've seen is that practiced by Life Dynamics, Inc.

#1: Direct Mail Campaign

[from the Life Dynamics web site] One of the disappointments often expressed by abortion advocates is that legalization did not erase the stigma associated with being an abortionist. Simply put, the medical community has never accepted abortion as a respectable part of mainstream medicine.

Today, many in the abortion industry openly admit that this is the most profound problem they have. It is literally true that abortion clinics are routinely faced with having to close their doors only because they can’t hire abortionists or other staff. To address this issue, the abortion industry is currently engaged in an aggressive national recruitment campaign to convince legitimate doctors that they should become abortionists.

To counter that effort, Life Dynamics has developed a very innovative direct mail campaign designed to reinforce the stigma attached with abortion, while educating medical students, residents, and practicing physicians about the realities of life as an abortionist. We also produce printed materials designed to give to abortion clinic employees, including one to make them aware of their legal rights to be protected from blood-borne pathogens, and another which teaches them how to report tax evasion to the IRS and collect a reward if a complaint they file leads to a recovery.

The current goal of Life Dynamics is to send out approximately 100,000 pieces of direct mail to medical community at least four times a year. We have seen tremendous results of this in the past, and we keep a steady stream of new direct mail products in the pipeline for the future. If our experience is any indicator, each of these is guaranteed to become an extremely powerful weapon in the fight against abortion.

#2: Sue the dishonest, bungling butchers out of existence

[from the Life Dynamics web site] We provide a full range of litigation services to attorneys representing abortion-injured women.

Our goal is to increase the chances that these women will be able to receive fair compensation through a successful malpractice action.

Is the strategy working? Read these piteous jeremiads:

"The local manager of the Holiday Inn isn't really eager to arrange the plastic letters on the roadside sign to read, 'Welcome, Abortion Providers.'" [New York Times Magazine, January 18, 1998]

". . .status of [abortionists] is somewhere well below the average garage mechanic . . .patients do not value what we do." [Warren Hern, abortionist. National Abortion Federation Seminar, St. Louis, 9/97]

"I've been with the Feminist Women's Health Centers for many years, and then with National Abortion Federation. Watching this [Life Dynamics ABMAL] commercial made me realize that our worst fears -- our Achilles heel is being struck." [Carol Downer, attorney. National Abortion Federation Annual Meeting, Cincinnati, 4/94]

"Mark Crutcher is the most dangerous anti-abortionist in America . . . I can't impress upon any of you how seriously you need to take this organization. . .they've put out an incredible amount of very professional material . . . the attorney who shared the [Life Dynamics ABMAL] materials with me said, 'If I was an abortion provider, I would be scared speechless!'" [Janie Bush, director, The Choice Foundation (Dallas) at the National Abortion Federation Annual Meeting, Cincinnati, 4/94]

"I've got to hand it to Life Dynamics. They're onto something very disturbing, and I don't know what we do about it." [Ron Fitzsimmons, Director--National Coalition of Abortion Providers; New Times, 12/8-14/94]

Well, Saundra m'dear...............I'm no lawyer, and therefore I have no idea whether or not a case on the other side of the planet can be cited as "precedent"............but I've just GOTTA believe that your opponents' attorneys will be sweating bullets when they hear about THIS one. :)

BTW.............there are settlements, and there are settlements. I know I've suggested this before, but I'll say it again (even though you've said that this isn't about money........and I believe you): BLEED 'EM DRY. The only way to stop these people.........the ONLY way...........is to make it no longer economically feasible for them to continue.

I believe that to my heart, soul, and toes. Every instinct I have tells me this........LOUDLY. I pray for your victory, but I also pray you heed this advice (and its true intent). God bless.

I found the abstract for the original article at A population-based case-control study of diet and breast cancer in Australia.

So apparently, since the original study was conducted to examine the link between diet and breast cancer, and no such link was discovered, they somehow felt justified to omit the fact that having an abortion increased a womans chances of contracting breast cancer by 160%, since that wasn't a diet related factor.

These were obviously not truth seeking scientists. They had an agenda to push, and fatty foods figured into it. When they discovered the truth about abortion and breast cancer, they buried it. Not true scientists (truth seekers) in the classical sense.

I encourage you and others here who wish to expose junk science and the political agenda of pseudo scientists like Dr. T.E. Rohan, to copy and save this abstract, and try to get a copy of the original article. It is available at university libraries and research hospitals. You may be able to get a reprint from AJE.

Thanks for the info. I have had close contact with some of the people who are closest to this information and therefore forget that not everyone has had a chance to vet the hard facts for veracity. This (type of) case has to make "big abortion" (the death lobby) nervous.

Re #32,
Sounds like you have quite a problem, and if you think having a baby will solve anything.......think again.

I hate to sound like Dr. L, but I would suggest you get out of that relationship immediately.......before she shows up preggers and you have to marry her.

Happy New Year.

AlpCat,

I hope you are not sleeping with her.
An abortion can't happen when there is no sex.
