I am more tolerant of duplicate posts that are >24 hours apart, but duplicate posts within 30 minutes are irritating.

Indeed. How hard is it, really, to do a search with a few words in the original article's headline to see if it's been posted already? I do it all the time. It takes 10 seconds and prevents two separate discussions on the same article -- which wastes bandwidth and makes trying to read as many opinions about the posted article a hassle.

There is something profoundly sad about this pitiable exertion to burnish an administration that accomplished a great deal and attempted but failed to achieve other worthwhile goals. The effort resembles that of the soldier who has served honorably but who adds to his résumé awards for valor that he has not earned, or the executive who puffs his credentials.

Maybe the author of this particular statement could explain why the wife of the president whose administration accomplished a great deal and attempted but failed to achieve other worthwhile goals recently concluded her husband's 8 years of work were undone in less than a year by his successor. LOL!!!
