If the only way I can keep my wife from leaving me is to let her sleep around, is she worth keeping?
I don't know. Do you love her? Do you have kids who would be traumatized by a divorce? Are you the reason she wants to sleep around? Are you committed to her. Are you committed to the marriage? Are either of you willing to compromise? Have you seen a marriage counselor?
Are you committed to all the principles of the Republican Party or just the Pro-life principle. Are you willing to risk all the other principles for Pro-life?
What party will you support once the GOP drops the abortion plank for party survival?
In the main, I support the voiced principles of the Republican Party. The problem, as I see it, is a lack of support for the principles of the Republican party in Republican leadership.
Am I willing to risk it all? You betcha.
In looking at the history of man, I find nothing inherently superior regarding the United States of America: except the principles she was founded on. The extent to which she reflects those principles is the extent to which I support her. I find compromise with outrageous wickedness only serves to legitimize it.
Where would I go without the Republican Party? To the metaphorical catacombs no doubt. But that's okay, perhaps the Republicans can learn a little something from the 'rats about supporting your constituency...even when it pisses the other side off.
Well said. The Republican Party must stay pro-life, despite these Neville Chamberlain pro-abort disruptors.
Were this the 1930's, they'd be offering to shake Hitler's hand and pleading the case of "the larger agenda".
Appeasement never works.
Without pro-lifers, the Republican Party is D.O.A.
Woahhs, others to whom this is addressed, comments?
...or the countryclub, as it were. I see no reason to play "caddy" any longer. Support for a President to oppose legislative opportunism seems sufficient to me. The best way to see a RINO is stuffed and mounted.
Al "sell my soul" Gore is looking for work right now because abortion was such a sure fire winning issue.
Best way, and the only way.
Saddle up.
Lock and load!
And let's roll...
Only time will tell.
LOL -- what an adolescently elitist comment. Guess your credo is: "last one in the pool is a rotten egg" -- you're no doubt serious about it too...
Obviously you've come into the converstaion quite late into the game and not read the comments in context...Become a member of the Darwin Club, as it's readily apparent you're too stupid to live as a functional individual in society...
"Too stupid" as are obviously ALL Republican "pro-lifers", who are commanded by His Royal Edict to compromise on their principles or lose the White House? Psssst...HELLO, Einstein -- I think we just won the White House with a pro-life President. Whoa -- how 'bout that?? Just maybe the President can use his prestige AND appointments to turn an already infested pro-choice judiciary around. But we understand. Really we do. YOU have THE solution -- the nutty pro-life movement should be canned.
It's been a real slice reading your boorishly childish, yet maniacal posts. But don't worry -- be happy. There's always hope for male PMS and a constipated colon. Try some Midol AND an enema occassionally -- and give "society" a break.
He will not be able to do much of this unless he gets control of the Senate in 2002.
Anyone willing to sacrifice all of their principles to "save the Republican party" had better rethink their stance.
In the analogy, should I keep my wife if I must let her sleep around...the answer is no, she isn't yours to keep. If she is sleeping around, then she has already left you. The same with the "republican party" if she doesn't have your views then she isn't yours.
And what's going to be different this time? Why will the RINOs not leverage their positions again?...an overwhelming majority? Baloney. You ain't got that kind of time pal. The Christian right is ready to walk now.
Besides... If I gotta live "under the boot" eventually, what makes you think I have any problem with you being there with me... it would absolutely lighten the burden to know the stupid b@st@rds who couldn't give us "that one thing" now have no-thing.
I'd enjoy seeing Mel Gibson as the V. P. candidate in 2004, actually. I think he'd do quite well. ;-D
