Not a bad question, if not we ought to make some supplemental appropriations for a few of them bad boys.

El Whino indicates that the USMC found that they were not effective weapons. On this board FAE's have assumed mythic capabilities - the "poor nation's nuclear bombs" they have been called by some. FAS, usually so informative, mentions that they have had limited use. It would be interesting to find out more information from the detractors. This weapon may not be practical, or it may just need some more tinkering before it can become practical. The Soviets did use FAE in Afghanistan in an attempt to clear out bunkers; they called them 'vacuum bombs.' Clearly, they did not lead to the ultimate success of that campaign.

Do people hear think that Clinton was actually taking orders from a foreign power?
No, but the sad truth is...
He may as well have been.

I'm wondering what the manufacturer would have in the way of comments.

U.S. says sending new anti-cave bomb to Afghanistan It appears Lockheed has been working on a new FAE (thermobaric) weapon that is now ready for deployment.
In other reasearch on the web I see that there are now FAE rocket propelled grenades and FAE anti-tank weapons being made in other nations.

A new thermobaric (FAE) weapon has been announced. Apparently it has been in development for some time, and was rushed for deployment after 9/11.
Clinton's Pentagon wasn't asleep after all.

but i also put blame on the military leaders they could have spoke upMost of those Generals and Flag Officers were Clinton appointees anyway, and most were nothing but yes men, so they would not speak up.
