In a word, yes. Search on articles and replies written by BlueDogDemo and OKCSubmariner for some meaty details. These terrorist groups also seem to have many interchangeable followers and soldiers--they'll train under one group, and work under another. Some terrorists seem to have no real allegiance at all, but will work for almost anyone, so long as the enemy/target is the U.S. I've flagged these two folks: perhaps they'll point you to some of the articles and/or elaborate further.
