This is how our rights are eroded. People close their eyes and just let them slip away.I never stated that I support this bill, or the Democrats that wrote it. I was just pointing out the fact that the Pro-gun lobby, uses the same misinformation tactics that the Anti-gun lobby does.
Just because the article was written by a Pro-gun group, does not make it accurate. They are hopping the masses believe what they are being told, without verifying the facts, and immediately have a knee-jerk reaction and write their Congressmen about how bad this bill is. This is the same tactic the Democrats and Anti-gun lobby uses.
Do we need to stoop to their level. I think not.

yes dear, I have, and I have contacted all the members of my LP affiliate and urged them to do the same.
In between my boughts of laziness, of course

Also, I do attend several gun shows each year, and know how they work. But the fact remains, that if this bill did pass in it's current form (which I hope it does not), it does not require the registration of attendees, unless a firearm is purchased.

Good, then I hope we can get this bill defeated.

It is truely a shame that so many pro-Second Amendment voters are turning away from the Republican party because of the GOP's Pro-Life planks. The GOP would have owned Congress and Bush would have won by a landslide had it not been for that single plank.
The implications of this bill are frightening but I do not believe Bush will sign it or that Congress has the votes to over ride it. If the current GOP exodus continues, this might not be the case after the 2002 elections.

These anti-American POS's belong in jail.
They certainly don't belong in public office.
Their agenda is plain to see.
They certainly cannot deny their intentions.
USC18,13,241 and 242 should be enough to lock them up.
(Along with anyone that votes in favor of this.)

Unfortunately the Pro-Gun people are using the same misinformation tactics the Anti-gun people use, this is the main reason I did not renew my NRA membership. I doubt you ever had one

A tad late to this thread but everyone needs to understand that this travesty being sponsored by McLame and the lying vermin from CT will do more harm than any imagine. I note that DeWine of Ohio (spelling of senators name is questionable) is also supporting this abomination.

And I doubt you ever had one either.

And I doubt you ever had one either. You are right. Had implies past tense. I have a lifetime NRA membership like every other responsible self respecting gun owner who is not free riding on other's protection of their RKBA.
