I hope there are some still pictures of this episode available. I searched through Yahoo and google, but couldn't find any. If any FReepers see it, (attention Rintense), please post it to this thread.

I want to forward this story to my friend, a Marine with the 26th MEU on board the USS BATAAN, awaiting insertion into Afghanistan. This message needs to be shared with all our active duty military personnel.

The have a truly great Commander-In-Chief!

Semper Fidelis, Mr. President, we are proud to serve under your LEADERSHIP!

I saw that clip. It was truly awesome. I am bursting with pride when I see our Commander-in-Chief. He is more than up for the job and has proved his naysayers wrong at almost every turn.

I saw that when FOX showed it, it was great. I think I could see a smile break out on that Marine's face, too.

Norb, I saw this as well. It was so heartwarming...that he would come all the way back down the steps and tap that Marine on the arm and return the salute! He didn't have to do that...most likely no one except service people would have noticed...and the media probably wouldn't have noticed it so it wouldn't have been covered.

What a good guy he is! Thanks for posting this and calling people's attention to it. It is a wonderful clip. (Repeats later this evening...it is at the very end of the show.)

Thanks!

I saw it too. I also remember that when the president first entered the helicopter as President, the marine not only saluted him, but turned to face him to receive his orders, a courtesy NEVER accorded to Clinton. As my friend says, leave it to the marines!

I saw this as well. It was truly the definition of "class." Do you remember the story of Bush visiting the officer who had been severely burned during the Pentagon bombing and exchanging salutes? We are so blessed as a country to have his leadership at this difficult time.

I'll see it on the repeat, 9pm Pacific time.

Sounds classy and pretty cool to me, too. I can't imagine Sh&#head Clinton doing that.

I can't imagine Sh&#head Clinton doing that.

He'd have likely reprimanded the dog for not peeing on the Marine.
