Syria warns us not to attack Iraq, Jordan warns us not to attack Iraq, Egypt warns us not to attack Iraq......just what the hell is in Iraq they don't want us messing with anyway?

Egypt and Jordan both fear that a US strike on Iraq would send the whole region up in flames.Bla-Bla-Bla. We have learned that the ominous 'Jihad' is a joke ... wishful thinking of Mohammad and Allah and a tiresome cadre of Mullahs. The cherished Jihad ... the ultimate surrender to Allah ... the 'Rapture' ... It ain't gonna happen. What is gonna happen is the civilized world is going to exterminate the vermin that we have carelessly allowed to infiltrate our societies. Now we know who you are. Your threats, ultimatums, warnings, etc., etc., are beginning to annoy everyone. Are you with civilization or are you with Sadam Hussein? It's up to you. Muslim fundamentalist extremists started the war ... we will finish it. Who would you rather have as your neighbors, them or us? Think about it.

"Syria bluntly warns US not to attack Iraq ..." Syria! Would you care to step outside with the US so we could discuss this in private?

Any harm to an Arab country would be a fatal mistake... Oooh, we're really scared now. Do these guys actually think they can bully the United States? Do they realize the U.S.A. can turn their country into a wasteland faster than it takes to heat up a ham sandwich in a microwave?
And isn't Sudan an Arab country?

Any harm to an Arab country would be a fatal mistakeYeah, yeah, yeah. Heard it all before. Please don't declare a holy war, whatever you do (that would be about number 8,762). Better start worrying about your own fatality.

"Iraq is prepared to defend itself. We will not be terrified by any arrogant party," Iraq's Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan said on Tuesday. Nothing like false bravado when you are cr#pping in your pants. Oh wait, this is Iraq. Check that, they don't get the picture until the sledgehammer hits their thick collective skull.

Egypt and Jordan, important US allies and supporters of the campaign against terrorism, both fear that a US strike on Iraq, coupled with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, would send the whole region up in flames. Sounds good to me. Let the flames begin. Fewer Muslims equal greater world stability.

I wonder if the pictures of celebrating Afghanis make it onto state-sponsored TV, in Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Probably not. But this is what they are worried about. The fall of Saddam with a victorious coalition of ethnic groups would be an intolerable example to the despots and mullahs of the region. These paper camels' days are numbered.

They would have to worry about the flames if they hadn't flung around the Palistinian gasoline for the last 20 years.

Syria knows that once we have taken Iraq, they are next. Merry Bombadan, boys!

Our good friends the Arabs have been threatening to "dissolve this fragile coalition" for everything from support for Israel to overchilled champagne. Since their "support" has been of dubious or even negligible value from the outset, how would we know if they walked out? There sure as heck aren't any Syrian troops on the ground in Kandahar, and the Egyptian Air Force has been mysteriously silent. Our buds, the Saudis, have done everything but throw a party for bin Laden. Jordan has remained mercifully silent, but that's hardly a boon. Iran is straddling the middle -- much like Saudi Arabia. Iraq is next on the hit parade. Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan -- hostile or worthless already, with the exception of Pakistan which can't be trusted any farther than I can throw a camel.
We have two allies: Russia and the UK. The others are thinly disguised enemies or at best podium pilots. Don't need 'em.
Oh yes, we should include the Turks as our allies. They have shown themselves solidy pro-America, and refreshingly moderate in a corner of the world that doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Syria dosn't like the US. Syria dosn't respect the US either. There is little chance to get them to like us but there is a way to gain their respect.
