Methinks we should beat them at their own game - any Freepers out there who are double amputees and thus don't have any thumb/fingerprints to give them?

Sue them under the Americans with Disabilities Act and make some $$$$.

I don't have a problem if they need my thumbprint to rent a car from them. It is their car, and they're trying to protect their asset. They have a right to be assured that they'll get the car back intact after I get thru using it!

He was surprised to learn of Glave's reaction to the program, saying that thousands of Dollar customers have been thumbprinted in past weeks and the company has received few complaints.

And the sheeple roll on their backs feet in the air in an effort to give up their rights as fast as they can!

Discusting

One of these days, a disgruntled traveler is going to give them a stool sample.

First, rental car companies started refusing cash, even to those with a good rental history. Second, they started refusing debit cards, even to those who have good credit. Third, they started refusing to rent to those going over 1,000 miles on a trip, especially if the trip included Texas. And now they want a thumb print.

Airline travel is now something to abhor and shun. It seems like we are turning the clock back on freedom of movement and travel. Next we'll be required to get around on one of those two wheeled Flintstone 'Ginger' machines.

The month-long pilot program, which concludes Dec. 1, has successfully reduced fraud and theft at the test locations....

I'll bet it reduced revenue at the test locations, also. I would walk out before complying with this intrusion. Why don't they take a lock of hair so they can profile the customer's DNA?

No Thumbprint, No Rental Car

No Rental Car, No Profit on Rental Car Capital Investment

No Profit on Rental Car Capital Investment, No Shareholder Dividends

No Shareholder Dividends, Angry Stockholders

Angry Stockholders, Low Stock Value

Low Stock Value, No Future Capital for Investment in Rental Cars

No Future Capital for Investment in Rental Cars, NO RENTAL CAR COMPANY

Works fine for me.

It sounds like a good business opportunity for some entrepenuer to set up a car rental across the street with a "NO THUMBPRINTS/No Hassle - CAR RENTAL" sign.

" ...saying that thousands of Dollar customers have been thumbprinted in past weeks and the company has received few complaints."

Today thumbprints, tomorrow DNA samples. And soon a bio-implants to make sure your a subject of the UN's new one world government. Anyone without the required implant will not be allowed to buy nor sell.
