These reports are drawn from the announcements of the Taliban heads themselves

Now there's a really reliable source of the truth.

First of all, Powell is a girly man. Second, just cut the bastards off. Not a dime more. They'll be begging us within a month. After that, they'll play God Bless America everyday if we tell them too.

If the Egyptian government is going to allow the newpaper to print these propaganda lies, then it is time to stop sending Egypt aid money. Nuff said!

We should have let the Israelis, British and French finish the job on the Egyptians in 1956: the militants would be gone, the Canal would be freely available and defensible, and the Palestinian problem could have been solved by putting them all in the Sinai.

I'm glad they are recognizing the trends and influence of the media. The US should have addressed this issue decades ago. The US is treated similiarly in all third world countries. As we give them billions, the media tells them Americans want to steal or kill their babies. Especially in Latin America.

Here is the problem with foreign aid. Once you give to one country, you must give to another in similar circumstances. If that country is an "enemy" of that first country, then you are an enemy disguised as a friend. If you do not havr such a conflict, then they blame you for not doing enough. Afghanistan is a perfect example of this. We helped them kick out the russians, and they got mad at us for not propping up the country afterwards. We should have a hands off policy with other gvts. Trade is OK, but everything else is thier own problem. I don't recall any terrorists flying 767s into swiss high rises, do you?

You think the Egyptian press is bad now? Its reporting on the Vietnam War was nothing short of scurrilous. Fortunately, very few people, even Arabs, trust the Egyptian media.

are going to have to make a choice and regain the airwaves away from extremists that seem to dominate the dialogue in their own countries

Hah. He thinks those are the extremists, does he? More like the mainstream, I'm afraid. And it's going to come to a showdown. At that point, the muslims in America and their fellow travellers will be in for a bumpy ride :). Or perhaps I should say the muslims all over the world and their fellow travellers.

Egypt, our "not really a friend" friend. In the past they were the useful as a defensive barrier against Libya, Sudan, and Somolia. Now they are just another Islamic threat to the U.S. and more so to Israel. Time to cut off aid, and let's hope our military pulled one over on Herr Clinton and included Lo-Jack and shutdown tech on the planes and equipment we supplied them.

Israel needs our support, and Bush hasn't made a lot of good decisions lately, look at the Patriot Bill, he is eliminating the Constitution...piece by piece. He had my support until recently.

This is the same Muslim sickness and lies that Israel has had to deal with for 50 years.

Can you imagine trying to negotiate peace with such liars? The Pallies are exactly the same with their lies, bs and fantasies.
