You have to act like a Southerner...which means resisting tyranny and historical revisionism. Plus, you have to bookmark Shuckmaster's site and memorize everything in it. LOL.

Well hey howdy the, I reckon' I fit the category well enough. :)

Sad to say, but I've always considered myself a free man, a sovereign citizen of a free nation, in control of my own destiny and answerable to nobody or nothing except the rewards or consequences of my own actions. Now I find that the nation is becoming polarized into two distinct camps, and that soon we will all have to choose sides. Sure, the FedGov will whine and moan how we should all stay unified, but what are they doing to insure this? Are they *not* turning our nation into a police state? Are they telling us all to arm ourselves and start preparing for our duty as the citizen soldiers we all are, to defend our nation and show our self reliance? No, they are telling us to depend on them, don't question their acts no matter how heinous and un-Constitutional, and to go shopping. Weee.

Since you were born in North Carolina, you're a citizen of that state no matter where you reside unless you renounce that citizenship. Therefore, you're one of us. From your post, you're obviously a Southerner. Good to cyber-meet you.

I've no recollection or renouncing anything, so I suppose that I'm in. Nice to meet you as well. BTW, how is the sentiment where you live for what is happening (I assume you still reside in the South)? Just curious.

We do live in interesting times, do we not? Some of the things that the Federal Govt. is doing needs to be done, other things do not. I do not feel very comfortable having to have yet another I.D. Card hell I've already got a Drivers Liscense, Gun Liscense, Social Security card, Library card, Credit Cards I mean come on.
There has to be a way that one can decipher who's the authentic American & who is not. For Instance when I got my Liscense to carry a gun, they took a finger print, why isn't this sufficient to check my record. There's no one else with that finger print.
I say stop the trouble at the source, no more immigrants. Now that may sound cold since we are a Nation of Immigrants, but that was then, this is now.
Anyway the Govt. needs to think about all they're doing because it is going to cause Dissention even amongst those most loyal to the U.S.

Yes, I still live in the South. Where I live now, some of my neighbors are unseasy. I'm going to print Dr. Hill's article and give it to anyone who wants to read it. At least it contains some sensible suggestions.

It terrifies me not, but I do wonder, how you come to know me so intimately that you could make such a bold proclamation. I do know of which you speak. You speak fearfully of tyranny.

What government of the world is not mixed with the world? Jesus even said that the tares will be left to grow with the wheat until the end. There are those in government that believe deeply in Christ and are working hard to pass legislation that reflects the heart of God. Are those the tyrants? Is GW the chief of tyrants?

You claim that you have no king but Jesus, which is good. Yet God gave man civil government, and instructed us to submit to civil government. Are you saying that you are a government unto yourself and you are not obligated to follow the rules established by that civil government?

Are you telling me that a government which seeks to thwart the plans of evil doers by listening in on the conversations of those evil doers is a loss of your personal freedoms. What... Do you think they want to listen in on your conversations and document your complaining? I think not.

Lick the boots of who? Come now, was that really called for? Is that a Christ-like attitude?
