I feel kind of young to be a granpa at 45 too ... but wouldn;t trade it for the world. That little critter Braedon sure won this old cowboy's heart.
Regarding the pics ... your camera should have a way to download the pics to your computer.
What I do is this.
- Download the pics.
- Open them in editing program, I use Paint Shop Pro. It's the best out there IMHO for the money.
- Choose what you want on the web (either whole pictures, cropping, zooms, etc.).
- Reduce the resoultion of what's going on the web to around 350 X 300 pixels or so. This makes them small enough so that even 56K hookups like mine will display them fairly reasonably.
- Use FTP to upload the pics you choose to your web space. If you have an ISP, you may have space. They should let you know how to access it.
- Use HTML to link to the photos, or create a page to display them. On FR posts, you can just use the IMG command to display them from your web space here on FR. It's what I do, and what I did on this post.
Hope that helps.
OBTW, I bumped a couple of my "Book" thread to your attention.
Regards.

Thank you for including me on your family trip.
Ditto on the E.O. and the so called "Patriot Act".

You are very welcome, glad to do it.
It's a good thing to share the good that continues to go on around us amidst the uncertainty and turmoil, and which can keep us focused on what we fight for and why.
Regards.

Thanks. That little critter sure is good looking isn't he? The best looking little baby I have seen in many years (a little over 12 to be exact) and I am not in the slightest objective about it either ... LOL!
All of our rising generation, and securing their liberty, is worth fighting for.
FRegards.

Thanks for the help. I guess I had way to high a resolution. I've sent pics that receivers have claimed they could only see a small corner. I work in very high resolution, so shrinking the files will undoubtedly do the trick. Again thanks. Look forward to your book.

Great, hope it helps. Even a 600 X 375 pixel JPG is relatively small and looks really good on screen.
To: Jeff Head
Not to sound like a idiot, but my digital program simply asks me what resolution, ie 1 to 1600. How do I translate that into a size like 600 x 375!
Thanks for the help.
To: LoneGreenEyeshade
In Paint Shop Pro there is an option under "IMage" to "Resize". In that option, the ration can either be maintained (which is what you would do in this instance) to create the size you want.
Most graphic programs have an option similar to this.

Thank you very much for the ping.

No problem, you are very welcome. Glad to do it. I figure that things like this need to be shared in times like these.
