Great. Thanks for the picture.

I don't know McMurphy's, but I'd definitely be up for a cold one.

I was going to try to make it at around 9:30 and hope they could play it right away. I don't want to stay long.

I'm in.
Check your FReepmail.

I'll be wearing a USS ENTERPRISE HAT.

I'd love to, but it's a 3000 mile drive for me. I'll have one
or more at home tonight, and will toast your fine work.
I received "The Ballad of Mike Moran" in the mail earlier today. I listened to it for the first time about 20 minutes ago. I laughed and laughed! Then I listened to it about 5 more times!
Where at first I laughed, subsequent listenings have inspired me and put me in that fired-up, "Don't tread on me" mood. This is the kind of song that you would want to listen to before battle. Sitting around the fire sharpening the blades of battle, preparing to unleash the dogs of war.
Which brings the question...HOW COULD WE GET SOME OF THESE TO THE TROOPS?
Although you would be too humble to admit it, you have done one hell of a job here. A toast for your fine deeds.

Now wasn't that worth the wait??? Seriously, John Wayne and the cavalry came to mind quite a bit when we were rehearsing for the arrangement.
Glad you enjoyed it. (Now start requesting it on the radio!!!!)

Great meeting you tonight. The song rocked.

I cannot emphasize enough the credit that goes to Vetnet. He had great ideas for the rewrite which we did over the phone. He got the singers, studio, production, website, etc. I am grateful for all his work (and personal money he advanced). New York firefighters and rescue workers, help is on the way!

Doug,
Your song...
Kicked Royal Irish ASS tonight.
Kudos. Nice meeting you too.

Thanks. Let's work on a way to get some to the troops. My son in law has a good friend on the USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT. I'll see if we can get him a copy. Any others with family or friends on active duty, please contact us.

You guys have really done something here. The
speed at which you brought this together is incredible.
I am familiar with the production details that you have had to deal with, which normally take much longer to navigate. I have friends who are trying to "make it" in the music business, and have produced their own CDs. They are constantly deluged with red tape in their quest.
To think that you have created something of such quality in such a short time is truly amazing. Hat's off!

Now start requesting it on the radio!!! This is fun.
The easiest way for my friends to get a radio station to play their CD was to spread the word for people to request the song knowing full well that the radio station didn't even have the CD yet. Then, a couple days later my friends would drop by the station with the disc. Made it very easy after the demand had already been established.
Re Quinn in Pittsburgh. Has his been mailed yet? I will call him Monday to follow up and wanted to know what to tell him.
To: jrewingjr
Yes. Quinn should be receiving it Monday or Tuesday.
Thanks again!

Chris, I know things are hectic but did one get sent to Quinn in Pittsburgh?

It so happens The Ladies Guild is preparing a gift package for the troops on the USS Theodore Roosevelt. It's to go out the Monday after Thanksgiving . If you'd like to include the Ballad in that package, contact Hillary's Lovely Legs. She's accepting and packing all our contributions. She could probably put in a note that the CD of the Ballad should go directly to the ship's captain.
