"With stricter immigration laws"
--Economist_MA
Once again I haven't advocated stricter laws, rather only strict enforce of the existing laws.
Why is that too much to ask for from the federal government?
Why is that too much to expect?
Why is having the federal government do one of it's Constitutionally required duties too much for the American citizens to demand?

Basically, this is where aspiring leaders get their tickets punched. It's more important in forming their views than where they buy their suits or where they eat out. But probably a skilled magazine editor or department head at an Ivy league school may have more influence than the head of the CFR. Such a group is too big and varied to pursue a secret unified and focussed agenda. They do have an effect, as do Davos, the Trilaterals, the Bildebergers, the Bohemian Grove and other elite meeting places, but it's like the effect of a constant trickle of water on a rock. You hear what people are talking about and you start talking the same way. If you go to some local club with people who you have to impress, over time you may start to talk and think like them. There's more at stake here, but it's the same process, and not so much like someone is giving you orders and you are following them.

<< "Heck, if there were actually a nasty world conspiracy, do you think they would have a webpage?" There's the most ineffective arguing point of recent months again. Keep it out front, folks will see the humor in that. Just like the Humor of an Islamic "Conspiracy". Can't happen! right? >> As someone pointed out, the CFR and Trilateral Commission were secret until they became publicized; then they portrayed themselves as harmless think tanks. Nowadays they don't have to be secretive; with information overload, hardly anyone pays attention to anything in particular anymore. Another point is that the names (CFR, etc.) don't really matter; the fact is, we're living under an empire rather than a republic. It's not true, as someone suggested, that these people are first powerful then join these elitist groups. "Unknowns" like Jimmy Carter were already members before anyone ever heard of them.

Since 1919 there has been a powerful subversive drive to lead the United States toward a global government
Can't have that now! Only global anarchy will do!

Whom are you calling a SOCIALIST, dear ?
What I am saying, is that some of us know and / or are members of various ELITE organizations which some FREEPERS keep maligning, without any concrete knowledge of ; just their own paranoid delusions. I have also pointed out, many times, that just because something is in print, does NOT make it a fact / true !
The Illuminatai, for instance, was driven out of Germany , centuries ago, and does NOT exists ; except in FICTION books , and the ravings in pamphlets of jerks ( like Tex Marrs ) who hope to make money from naive, gullible, stupid people. The FreeMasons do NOT worship the devil, have their own religion, nor rule the world. The Jews do NOT run / want to take over the world . They are having a difficult enough time trying to keep Israel ! The members of Bohemian Grove are just a bunch of influential ( and not so influential ! ) , wealthy men, who spend time with each other at what is rather like an all boys' camp, and put on " hairy leg " shows. Yale's Skull & Bones is nothing more than a social club, and not unlike Princeton's " eating societies. It isn't even all that much like a fraturnity ! And that is just for starters.
The truth is often stranger and far, far, FAR less nefarious than the tinfoil hatters would have one believe ! It is people, who have absolutely NO exposure to the organizations and / or the peoeple whow belong to them, who are inclined to believe whatever junk is presenteed to them. This is because they have no cocmprehension what that world is like. It's just scapegoating, to allay ( but in this case, it is to INCREASE ) fears , or have someone, ANYONE , to throw blame upon.
When crops failed, Dark Ages Christians blamed Jews. If someone's milk curdled, menstruating women were blamed . A sheep died ? Blame the old, ugly, lonely woman at the edge of the village who yelled at you for stealing her apaples lasts week, of being a witch who caused the death.
People don't change; only technology changes. Those who feel helpless, powerless, and frightened , look for someone to blame ; someone to bring down.

I disagree with your assessment of the goals of the CFR, simply because their goals aren't remotely as neatly defined as you make them up. Defenders of the Constitution should suspect any political organization whose goals aren't neatly defined.

Those who feel helpless, powerless, and frightened , look for someone to blame ; someone to bring down. Didn't Senator McCarthy mention something about a conspiracy?
Here's what NoPardons had to say about him in a past thread...
You are incorrect. McCarthy was correct and a brave man.

Yes though folks on the CFR are powerless individuals, surely knowing they plan could ever happen? LOL!
Evil men have never worked to usurp power or let alone succeeded at it have they?
