God bless FReepers, who know what to do - the right thing - and take action to see that it's done!

She spent quite a bit of time talking to me. By 5:30 we were probably still talking. She said that she had really not anticipated spending her Monday like this! LOL

This is a reply I received from Jennifer Lynch, (one of the few lawyers in the world that I respect).

Thanks. We got the Mayor's office in San Diego to help as they can since it is really Salano Beach not San Diego which was the culprit. They said the will refer calls to that Mayor and she said she would help by "quiet inquiry" in getting TJ out. I'm still awaiting to hear whether the pound, 'dangerous dog task force" will find TJ a "public nuisance." If they do I, will request hearing and appear on TJ's behalf to see how we can deal with that. Sam is also looking into getting a volunteer trainer for the dog. We'll do what we can. In the interim, we will try to get a fund set up for him. Please let people know they have helped a great deal in responding. Thanks.

My email to her;

Subject: Robert Northcutt
Sam & Jennifer,
Click on these websites and you'll see what we've got going so far. Monday morning is when the overflowing outhouse is going to be set on fire in the Mayors office.

You know.... something occurred to me. Seems like this guy needs a good outdoor job where he can use his dog. Maybe somebody in that area can offer him a watchman position for their gated home property? This guy and his dog might do great work for somebody.

Some one ought to tell Mr. Northcut to take the mobile home,
The way I figure it, sleeping on your front porch isn't illegal or immoral or even fatting!

Yeah, where was that reference to the gift of the mobile home which Mr. Northcut had turned down because he wanted to sleep outdoors instead?

B4Ranch, this is the first time I have seen this story. Thank you for posting it. I hope that this gentleman and his dog are reunited and that the person/persons who did this learn a lesson.

From me. Here from thread 2

Lots to tell. I have been busy today

OK 1st he is a Vet from 1972. He has said he wanted to be a seal but rang the bell and then went into electronics but he didnt know they had river boats in Cambodia. He and 13 guys where on a boat and there was an explosion and he woke up in Austrailia. He gets benifits but has always had them sent to his son who is now in jail. People have offered him a mobile home to live in but he says he cant live indoors.

Take the mobile home, build a small porch by the door and sleep on the porch. That's my answer to this. he's off the street, safe, has a shower and a kitchen to use during the daytime. In a couple of months move his bed inside with his head right at the door. Slowly move back from the door, keeping it open all the time.

There is no law that says you cannot sleep on your porch or keep your door open that I know of.

I just read mystomachisturning's posts and it seems she (Lucy) has changed her story. But do keep in mind that she did admit to me that she didn't know that Mr. Northcut was a veteran until she read the press release. This leads me to believe that her story has changed to reflect info she receives and I bet that a lot of this has to do with us here at FR. I don't think she was ready to deal with such an overwhelming response from us FReepers!
It also doesn't seem to me that I got as much detail as mystomachisturning did and it was probably because my phone was going out on me and the conversation was breaking up a little here and there.

I do feel however that everything is going to work out just fine for Mr. Northcut and TJ :)
My step dad was a Vietnam Vet, I was just a peace time vet but the stories he would tell were just terrifying he had lots of problems and I had the upmost respect for him (and all Vets) and it was out of love from all of us that he was able to overcome lots of horrible things almost daily, until he succumbed to Leukemia a few years ago---with love all things are possible and seeing what we are accomplishing here at FR for Mr. Northcut is very touching.

He said he would have nothing to do with it. But do you think he could be looking at it like a handout?

New emails sent tonight. We should keep these calls and emails coming. I told them that I would boycott their businesses there and tell all my friends to do the same, and that their treatment of this man and his dog was shameful.

Thank You For The Flag, once more, TGYC.

Now...We know what Sam, and the Mayor of San Diego have done and what they're going to do.

My question is: What is Northcutt now going to do?

Yair.

How about the border patrol?

Last time I was out counting criminal aliens it was plain to see those jerkoffs could do with some good keen help!

"Also... The dog TJ, is the replacement for his dog that died last year and that one is buried at the memorial. Jennifer Lynch got 100 emails and 60 phones today....Those are the ones to say thank you imagine what the City got."

How many reasons does this man need for people to understand why that memorial is important to him?? Someone said on an earlier post that "Lucy" thought the attention would die down in a few days. Let's not let that happen.
