Dumbfounded bump

Ironic that fools such as the BBC, CNN, et al who try so hard to be so fair, objective, and non-judgmental in dealing with these vicious terrorists would be among the very first to be disposed of were the ones they're being so careful not to offend or betray ever got the power they seek - ironic, but somehow sort of satisfying...

Let's assume that, instead, BBC had gotten a call from a skin head group asking white folks to rise up and slay all the wogs in Britain. Can anyone doubt that the Yard would have been called in immediately?

Is this a big story on your side of the pond?

A spokesman said: "The caller claimed he was a bin Laden representative but we cannot say definitively that he was. Like any news organisation we don't ring the police as a matter of course."

Details of the contact - which suggest that an al-Qa'eda cell may be active in London - were not reported to the anti-terrorist branch, which is hunting bin Laden associates in Britain. BBC insiders said that they feared the number of the anonymous caller, who reporters tried without success to ring back, had been lost. This criminally irresponsible lack of notification demonstrates the BBC's obvious bias towards protecting Bin Laden and the al-Qa'eda Group--ostensibly to keep open a news source.
Should a terrorist action now be perpetrated by a London terrorist cell, the British Broadcasting Company will have to bear some of the responsibilty in the deaths and injuries that may occur.
This was conscious, pre-meditated neglect on the part of the British media administrators.
The BBC has placed itself beneath contempt.

I wonder if they would extend the same courtesy to, say, a neo-nazi Euro-trash group...

"Distributing statements on behalf of terrorists is an offence."Then arrest the people responsible for the crime.
"Like any news organisation we don't ring the police as a matter of course."
Then you should be in jail. I don't know what we can do if the British government isn't willing to throw the book at these cretins.

You are right about the BBC. I guess we know which side they favor! CNN has a twin after all.

This criminally irresponsible lack of notification demonstrates the BBC's obvious bias towards protecting Bin Laden and the al-Qa'eda Group--ostensibly to keep open a news source. Whats worse, is that it is all profit motivated, at least it is with CNN. Without an OJ trial or Desert Storm or OBL, nobody watches the darn station. It really has nothing to do with keeping neutrality. It has everything to do with prolonging the coverage (ergo the revenue), IMHO....

The flag reads: "There is no God but God and Mohammed is the messenger of God."
Muhammad said: "If you see the black flags coming from Khurasan (Afghanistan),
join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice,
for that is the army of the Imam al-Mahdi
and no one can stop that army until it reaches Jerusalem."
Black Flags of Islam
Portents of the Imam al-Mahdi, the Moslems' prophesied deliverer of Jerusalem?
