Thanks for the ping, Snow Bunny. Good thread. As usual, the lamestream media is out of touch with the real American people. I've got to think most Americans are more mature than the media gives them credit for and realize we can't solve this problem in a few weeks.

We're in this for the long haul. The longer we bomb from the air, the more Talibombed we can kill before our troops have to go on the ground. I can't stand to think what the Taliban will do to our brave men in uniform if they're ever captured.

I've been making those flag pins made out of beeds with my oldest daughter and giving them to teachers, aunts, coworkers, friends, etc. (If anyone hasn't seen those, Freepmail me and I'll tell you how to make them). My kids wear flag t-shirts often. We have a big American flag hanging out the back of our big American SUV. But, perhaps some strategicly posted signs with slogans as discussed above are also in order.

P.S. Everytime I read "Snow Bunny" I think of you in that beautiful red ballgown at the inaugural ball, that was you, right?

I like the idea of the tv ad. I wonder if such an ad could be funded through the American Legion, the USO, or the VFW? It needs to be non-partisan.

I also advocate calling talk shows and writing to reporters individually. If you can get a NAME for those stupid people at the press briefings, I invite you to submit an entry to STUPID PRESS QUESTION OF THE DAY, now a feature on "America the Right Way." Today's winner is Major Garrett of CNN, who not only blamed the stock market fall on President Bush, but actually asked when the ground war was going to start. He was questioning Dr. Rice, who gave him a "look!" HA!

The media is acting like a fifth column, and I think you are right...it is our responsibility to counterattack.

Thanks for the ping. I like the idea of lawn signs if you live in a highly populated area. Billboards may be costly, however, if we can convince retailers to display something in their windows, (alongside the Flag) it just might catch on and not go unnoticed by the lamestream media. I can just see it now.

We can follow up with a letter writing campaign beginning with McEgo and other pols who are grabbing at sound bites, and then to local newspapers.

If there's enough interest, I'll poke around some. I've got a few contacts in television production here and in Spokane that I may be able to interest in the idea. I can produce rough storyboards in house for any preliminary presentations.

Research on what stock footage is available is an important early step, and one that FReepers can do to help save production costs. Animation is also an option, but is less dramatic and potentially more expensive. If someone works in video production and wants to run with the idea, have at it.
