I believe the little "burp" of patriotism in the media disappeared shortly after 9-11. They're back to their old tricks now. Mainstream public will follow as soon as the propaganda sinks in.

What I have seen my entire life is the protestors of the VietNam war being glamorized and held up as role models by popular culture. Now, the young people of today have their "own" war to protest and think they look cool doing it.

I know 99.9% of us here think Hanoi Jane is the scum of the earth, but she has done quite nicely in the "mainstream" considering her treasonous actions. Virtually every young person I know (18 to twentysomething) says they would run off to Canada if there were a draft. They will be the first to jump aboard once the anti-war crowd starts going full steam.

It's not looking good.
