My husband holds elected public office and he has for ten years. We are Republicans but the party doesn't give financial backing on the "local" level...we save our money and pay for his signs...we do hand out information that we put together on our own computer. My husband is a decent man who wanted to run because he wanted to make a difference and he really goes to bat for his constituents. This country is only as good as it's people and as for our elected officials...it is only as good as the people that we put in office! It is up to us to pay attention!

Your main topic may have gotten maybe 30 posts? There has been lots of tension lately and a little diversion is good.

That said, be sure to look at your subject-pronoun agreement. You used a singular noun (a child) but a plural pronoun (them).
